June Gloom ain't so bad. Some years it hangs around to September then we have a brief October Summer. The next year the fruit trees rebel.

Years when June Gloom disappears early, it is a hot, hot summer. Must use a lot of imported water on my landscape.

Looking out my West facing windows, it is high over cast gray

My fresh garlic ripened all at once. The green parts drying up. No reason to leave it in the ground because it won't grow bigger, but probably re-sprout. It is triple X fresh out of the ground with large pieces even when the whole head is small. Wrapped in foil, 350F x 30 min with two teaspoons of butter is a treat.

Loquats finished, only 5 yummy Royal Apricots beginning to turn yellow, 2 handfuls of Boysenberries a day, Blackberries ripening. Sweet shelling peas have been a repeated disappointment. I just never get a lot at one time. I graze them & wish I could get a few handfuls one day. Recognizing they are an early plant, I started them early. Ideas please.

Ewww. It is 51F (11C), it was raining in the morning and most of the day.

And even by the looks of the street I DO NOT want to go there...

Damn weather.

The downside is that it's terribly dry and the grass is beginning to die here already.

Today where we are turned off cool. 70's. Lots of fluffy clouds that turn dark blue, rain and then sunshine peeks through again.

Overcast again now with the promise of sunshine tomorrow.

Last week, all baseball games were called off due to it being +96F with high humidity - the kind of weather where you just melt.

Yesterday, it struggled to hit 70F with wind and it was miserable until well after noon, when it finally hit 60F. It only made 70F for a few hours before a front came in and we got drizzled on and froze.

High gray clouds carpet the sky as the occasional breeziness bring no new atmosphere.

The garlic continues to turn brown, demanding to be plucked from the clinging top soil which is really compost. The rest of the garden is in a holding pattern.

Everything here is wonderful, the weather, the plants love it, strawberry's doing well Tomato's growing, trees in bloom, hay fever doing well, (cotton wood tree).

But I do love this time of year, actually I like each of the seasons for what it brings.

The sun is shining with a white brightness making it hard to see the Venus eclipse except when I stop looking. Then there is this black dot in my visual field.

Grazed some sweet shelling peas. No berries today. 7 Royal apricots ripening.

blue sky goes on forever...i get up at 2 am and the sky to the north is blue just above the horizon..sun never sets up there..we get about 12 days of this every summer

Solid and normal, June Gloom. What might be termed, full sun happens around 4PM. Sunset at 8PM. Not much full sun, such as it is.

The Sweet Shelling Peas seem to prefer early Spring and are petering out now. I plan to replace them with corn that I likewise enjoy grazing in the yard. The garlic is finished but next to the garlic the white onions continue to grow. Unfortunately, too many have pushed themselves out from under the ground.

Tomatoes are a disaster. Branches and leaves wilt brown and dry before the fruit ripens. Over watered I think.

Isn't it nice to grow stuff. Not kids, I mean. Edible stuff.
