Holy cat poop, Batman! They are taking over the world! --FLO--
Cat is not only 6 kilograms of rest mass, but also 4 fangs, 18 razor sharp claws (with integrated bacteriological weapons), and intelligent guidance and delivery system for this weapon array, capable of going at 20-30km/h on most terrains.
They are able to take over the world. If they'll care for it.

Izzy Kitty
the smaller brother to Solly,
passed away last night.
Izzy Kitty

was 6 weeks shy of being 17 years old and has lived here since age 8 weeks with his brother.
Within the first years Izzy demonstrated he was a stone former and it was relieved with Science Diet Cat Food or Nutro.
Izzy, was small and wiry and puked a lot. I discovered kitten formulas worked best on him.
Although I am a cat whisperer, Izzy was difficult. If ever a cat embodied "the Trickster" it was Izzy.
Aside from some rare evening when he decided to hang out with me, he mostly waited until I got into bed and demanded 30 minutes of "love time". When he had his fill, he left the bed to his big brother Solly. No matter how much I tried not to move or trigger the end of his love time, it never worked.
If there was a heat radiator or hot pad around, Izzy was all over it.
In his last days, he preferred to stretch out on cold floors around a toilet.
And in his last day a more isolated closet.
I have left his corpse for Solly and OFBK to see but, they are not interested.
Solly's lack of interest was most unexpected but OFBK did sniff and walk off.
RIP Izzy Kitty.
You were a good cat who always broke a serious mood when (not) needed.

Solly

seems to be taking the loss of his small brother, Izzy, pretty well.
I made sure he saw the "dead brother" for a day.
At first he did cry or call loudly and I could not quiet him with any attention.
Then when I called "Izzy - Kitty" he settled down.
I was concerned Solly would stop eating and go into depression.
He is doing well. Sleeps much closer to me at night now.
I remember Izzy too often.

I am sorry to hear this, i know what its like to loose a little feline friend. Give the other one lots of love and attention, maybe a treat or two.

With the passing of Izzy, Solly's brother the cat dynamics have changed.
OFBK would usually not allow either Izzy or Solly near her.
Now she hangs around Solly's "space" a few feet away. They can even exchange an occasional sniff.
Solly always slept with Izzy. Now he sleeps in some new special place or under covers.
As soon as I get into bed he is on top of me, screaming some, settling down and taking deep cat naps.
Then he moves off and later at night, I wake up and there Solly is, curled up on "MY" second pillow next to my head.
Izzy was a special kitty. A trouble maker. A jester.
Often walked in a room and went into a Lipizzaner Stallion gait, slowly.
He was tiny compared to the other two cats. With a bird boned build.
It occurs to me cats built like that do not live as long as cats with big bones and bear paws.
Anyone notice same?

Izzy is haunting the house.
Sometimes, when I am with Solly at night,
I startle to feel Izzy's little, hard feet pawing over me.
Sometime I feel the brush of his tail when I sit at the table.
Cats do love to haunt their homes in life.

Solly

behavior is changing.
The worst of it is when he sits and lets out a series of the loudest "meows", ("meows" not other cat sounds) one can imagine coming from a cat. I imagine he tries to call the departed Izzy whose ghost no doubt is teasing him too.
Solly still keeps growing and is a great warm teddy bear at my waist level in bed at night.
OFBK :kittygray remains a sweet indoor / outdoor cat.

Assuming Solly

is depressed over the death of little brother Izzy
Anyone have ideas?
Solly lives in the back bedroom furthest from the activity of the house.
If I bring him out, he makes a bee line back.
If I obstruct the way back, he paces like a caged animal over an hour.
I try put him on a chair next to me or close but, he will not leave the bedroom, happily.
When I go to sleep, he is all over me like a puppy dog, but that was his nature before.
So was staying in the bedroom.
And sometimes he just Meows so loud is might qualify as a roar.
Yes I give him kitty love but, I'd like to see him come out of hiding.
Solly and OFBK are more tolerant of each other.
Sometimes OFBK naps back in Solly's bedroom.
But, they are not "buddies". Just tolerant.
So, No, - - No kittens to cheer up Solly.
