Update

The wound from the 8th of May surgery are now all healed at long last.

The new pee hole has narrowed but should come good after the scare tissue softens.

The bladder should settle down but will be checked on again mid August.

Lymph nodes, the Pet scan showed a little activity on the right hand side but they are talking about taking node from both sides, in two operations with a month in-between sides so I still have some mobility.

My poor kidney function is becoming an issue, so they will be checking with my Kidney Specialist, and anaesthetics approval before they go ahead. (I see the Kidney bloke this Friday, as he put things on hold till the PET scan results are in.)

The PET scan showed very little cancer other than the groin which is good news.

So I just have to wait at this stage before the go ahead is given.

Got told today there is very little of the shaft deep in the groin left, so that they got clear margins when removing it.

Thanks for all your on going interest and support!

Further update

I have to have a second pet scan, as the first there was too much inflammation present that shows up as cancer. Now that it is all healed they will see what cancer is in the lymph nodes.

The second PET Scan will be on Monday the 31st July, and I see the Professor on Wednesday to discus what they will do in the next two surgeries.

Bit disappointed in the 'Dutasteride' the put me on to shrink my enlarges benign prostate. The medication stops the testosterone in the prostate, so I feel sexually deed down there. So not only a dick but no libido.

Bad News today 2nd of August 2023

It seems the cancer has travelled, I now has a spot in my lung that has shown up with cancer that wasn't there a month ago when I had a pet scan but showed up on one I had Monday.

They also say there is residual in the penis stump from the radical penectomy, as well as in the lymph nodes on both sides of the groin.

They are now talking Radiation and chemo (bugger) to deal with the little left of the shaft as most of the internal shaft was taken in the first operation.

So all surgery is now off till al the specialist get together to discus the best way forward from here.

Not much one can say, I am just devastated to say the least but thank you all for your valued support.

A Not so good update

Went to an Oncologist appointment a few days ago, it wasn't a good meeting.

In short the penile cancer has metastasise and I now have multiple sites in both lungs.

Was told there is no cure for my cancer, and told it was stage 4 lung cancer, and moving around in the body where it will effect other organs.

There is no cure for my cancer, and told I have months no years to live. One can say the poo has hit the rotating fan, what a bummer.

I have been told to basically party till I can't whilst I can.

There is only one form of chemo that might give me a few more weeks but at great physical cost but only extend the suffering a week or two, the same as the dialysis for my kidney failure, which would mean a long period of agony.

So whilst I can I want to thank everyone for the many years I have enjoyed being part of this community, and writing stories.

I especially thank the Administrators for their extremely hard and dedicated work they do on the Archive to keep it up and running.

I wish everyone the best, and thanks for your support.
