The greatest Australian national characteristic is the lack of concern with causing offence. This extends to many media outlets, except the woke left-leaning ones, and even they have some rogue staff. The NT News has a certain reputation.

Personally I am worried about this virus, but me and my partner are taking good precautions to avoid our risk of contracting it.

There have been many distinct theories circulating around about this virus and its origins. Lets hope that they are proven false.

I have read that it can cause testicular damage; no doubt then we will see threads on here eventually of guys injecting the virus into their jewels, thus forcing the NHS to finally remove them without resistance! lol. Sorry, I really shouldn't joke about that but it's healthy to laugh these things off.

We are also taking sensible precautions.

Viruses are known to "hideout" in glands and lymph nodes. Testicles are glands. So, it makes sense that the virus would be in testicles.

All of that is supposing you have the virus. Worldwide there are 6 billion (6,000,0000,0000) people on the planet and one million (1,000,000) have tested positive. Of those, 240,000 (fully one quarter) have now been declared cured. The death rate of those who have the virus depends on who you are asking. I've heard between 0.1% to 3.4%

Even at the higher number, your odds of getting the virus (if you are washing your hands and staying a safe distance from others) are extremely low.

I am a registered Independent Voter and do not mean to bring up anything to do with which party is running which branch of our government. The US governments and the State Government (I live in Florida) was horrible. However, they are now doing what they should have done in the beginning. Are the measures too strong or not strong enough? I'm not a doctor. So, I don't really know.

The bottom line is to stay calm, bing watch either Desperate Housewives, Weeds or Black List. If you have balls, you can masturbate to as much porn as you want until your ISP throttles your connection.

Well I guess if I do catch the virus there will at least be 2 places they now can't hide out in lol.

I know I am statistically unlikely to catch this, especially considering how naturally introverted I am anyway. But it scares me a great deal still.

I'm not sure what to make of what my government is doing to tackle this. They do seem to be doing everything they can. But some NHS staff have already died.

I've been binge-watching The Mandalorian with my partner. I'm not a huge star wars fan, but the show is really good.

Plusnet are decent enough and at a good price. Seldom do we get issues from their service :)

Having so many unanswered and unknown questions that are yet to be discovered about this virus makes it more worrisome and frightening.

Its similar to when AIDS first appeared and no one knew how it was spread, how to avoid it, who would get sick, who would die, how long an incubation period, can it be treated, can it be cured ? All unknowns for many years of fear, death, suffering, sorrow, and unknown risks.

As we learn more answers and infrormation and new treatment methods, hopefully this will get less scary and less of a fear of the unknoens and all those endless what IFs.

Seeing other countries longer infected than us, like China, also helps give us more answers and what to expect in the future. The unknown is a big part of people s fear.

Not to sound indifferent, but it’s seriously made it hard to meet up and get off. But I also realize people are losing loved ones, spouses, parents and grandparents mostly. Seems like businesses, especially the bars and restaurants, are getting hit really hard, too. So, keeping perspective and hoping this all ends soon for everyone — and Ranger.

You don't sound indifferent at all.

Everyone's world has been turned upside down or inside out. Of course, you are worried that your normal routine has stopped.

What you further commented on was your concern for what's happening to other people in both in their personal and business lives.

I have to pieces of experience:

1. Don't just do something, sit there. Remaining socially apart for a short time will make you feel safer - and if the "experts" are right it will actually keep you safer.

2. Don't just sit there, do something. Donate blood (they are keeping it really safe to do so by having people wait in their cars until it's their time), take some of the money you've saved by not going out looking for strange and donate it to a charity you believe it (not all of it - just some), call family every day and tell them you love them. It will make you feel connected.

Oh, and bigger watch "Weeds".
