Most of the ass bruising just has a margin/border of bruise, though there's still a bit of dark discoloration on the left side of the scrotum. Have some green/yellow bruising I didn't notice before (but I guess was there) on my pubic area branching out from that left side, too, but it looks like it's fading as well. Incision is looking okay and not red or infected or anything. Neosporin twice a day, per orders. Small amount of white wound funky stuff that I pick off after I shower. The suture is still there and looks intact, but I expect it to be dissolving/disappearing soon. The right side of my incision, where the drain was, had a slightly larger space between the end of the incision and the last stitch. I guess that's to keep it slightly open for the drain, but that means it has been slightly open. It's not bleeding, but it's still draining. I bought a box of small pads for women and have used those in regular bikini-style briefs. I'm not soaking it, but it leaves a reddish/yellow stain there after a few hours. Feels appropriate to change my pad and keep it clean/dry. Seeing progress in that too.

This sounds a lot like my experience. I bought some underwear shields that I was able to adhere to my underwear for a few weeks to catch the seepage; however there was another thing that came up.

After a while, it looked like a bit of skin or fat that should have been inside the body was on the outside of the body right about where the drain had been. In addition, this piece of skin was secreting some kind of fluid, so I didn't want to just leave it alone. I called Dr A about it and texted him a picture; and he confirmed that it was some subcutaneous skin. He said I could go back and have him cut it off, or he could give me instructions on how to do it myself. I didn't think I wanted to fly back to Michigan, and if I could do it myself, I suppose I could save some money.

I ended up cutting off the little bit of skin off myself. There was very minimal bleeding, and it actually has healed up pretty completely now (about 3 months post). I have pictures if anyone is interested.

Very interesting! So far I don't have a skin flap of any sort, but I'll definitely be on the look out. I'd be happy to see a picture of what I could expect in three months' healing.

This is a picture of that skin I mentioned right before I removed it:

Yes! Great job and looks like a good result. Looking forward to being that far along. Just so happened that the side of my incision where the drain was seems to have opened up a bit last night. Pretty bloody but I THINK it has stopped for now. Going to have to be careful of this for a few days, and will text Dr A if it keeps bleeding. Eeesh.

12 days post orchiectomy

Well, still bleeding from the incision on the side where the drain was. It’s quite a slow seep but without wearing a liner/pad in my snug briefs it would be a mess. Maybe a half to a full teaspoon for the full day? Hard to tell with blood, a little looks like a lot but it does seem to be a lot better today. It’s only that side, the incision itself doesn’t leak or stain. I haven’t messed with the stitches or investigated that much, aside from slathering with neosporin twice a day. I’ve still got one bristly thread sticking at where it was tied up and knotted.

Pain wise, I only occasionally take a tylenol now. There isn’t much bruising now, which is awesome, and generalized swelling is way down. The “false nuts” feeling of swollen cords are still very much there though, and are still about the same size as my testicles were, if not larger. Definitely hard and immobile, though the left one is substantially bigger.

Emotionally, I feel super! Starting to be happy checking myself out, aside from the gore (sorry). Got a little tired and mopey the last two days, and had some new facial flushing during a walk up the stairs, but took a small amount of testosterone yesterday morning just to keep some hormones circulating, and I’m feeling chipper again. I noticed when my T really bottomed out my voice changed! Got very nasally and sounded like I had a cold -- went away about 24 hours after I injected testosterone. For future reference, I injected subq 40 mg and we'll see how that holds me over for the week. Was also still getting nighttime erections the whole time, though the more recent ones weren't raging. Thought that was interesting/unusual.

PHOTOS, 11 days after (took yesterday), everything is NSFW:

http://imgur.com/ll5cJt2 … warning! Blood! It actually looks like my scrotum is split in half, most of that is just a weird wrinkle of a moist/neosporin-ed scrotum. The bloody part is actually open as pictured.

http://imgur.com/ucwClsu … whole package is starting to shrink. Touch feels nice but everything stays nice and tiny. Dr. A gave strict instructions to wait for any sort of sexual activity for two weeks, so a whole new experiment is coming up next Sunday

Glad your healing continues. Your genital area now looks very innocent now

Good morning M50,

Good to see your progressing nicely. Your pictorial updates are very interesting. It's true, a picture is worth a thousand words. I see in the second picture from yesterday's posting that your penis seems to be retracted like the head pulls back and the rest of the loose skin folds over the head similar to a foreskin. Mine does the same thing. It's good to know I'm not the only one. I was concerned about it but the doc assured me it will fix itself as the healing continues.

s and photos. As someone who is planning to kill off and have their (ie mine) useless and unwanted testicles removed, anything the deals with the post-op recovery is very useful.

Thanks and good luck with your recovery and may your becoming a real eunuch be anything that you wish for!
