^That's exactly what I'm worried about. All of the pills, combined with a ketogenic diet where the liver is constantly having to burn fat for fuel, really scares me in regards to liver function. And I have noticed some slight yellowing on my taste buds and the back of my throat recently, so I was absolutely freaking out about it. My doctor checked it out, and said that it was fine, nothing to worry about yet because it was still very minor, but I can't help it, I freak out about everything now. And I'm trying to eat a lot of liver-healthy foods like spinach, garlic, olive oil, and grapefruits, plus I've taken to drinking a glass of lemon juice before my daily "big meal" to aid with digestion, but I'm still completely freaking out about liver function. Especially since my liver is the key organ when it comes to both weight loss and processing my estrogen pills properly. So yeah, I'm kind of freaking out about that.

I hit 15 lbs off today.

1/3 of the way from my first to second goal (first was 10 pounds off). I figure by this time next month I should be at my second goal, or at least a bit past it.
The clothes I'm wearing are starting to become loose. Guess I'll have to buy something smaller soon.
How are the rest of you doing?

Adding more vegetables to my diet this week, and grapefruit, rather than eating almost nothing but meat, was a HUGE boost. This morning, I was down to 238.8 lbs on the scale, which now means a total drop of 31.2 lbs since I started at the beginning of January. I think I've finally found the ideal balance. About a 50/50 balance of meat and vegetables, with copious amounts of spinach, leafy greens, garlic, and a grapefruit every couple of days. On this regiment, I dropped 4.2 lbs this week after being plateaued for several weeks between 243 and 246.
Today is my junk day, and I treated myself to Pizza Hut, so I'll probably have gained a couple back by tomorrow, but that's supposed to happen, in order to reset my metabolism every week. Everything's looking good now! Suddenly getting to 200 lbs by summer isn't seeming like such a lofty goal anymore. I'm almost halfway there. Started at 270 lbs, down to 238.8 after about 2.5 months. So 32 lbs down, 38 to go. I like my chances, especially once it gets warm enough to start going outside more.
And seeing as how this success is coming despite the fact that I've been putting on a lot of "girl fat" in appropriate places thanks to HRT, I've been feeling quite accomplished about this.

Congrats to you Cheetaking243, that is quite an accomplishment. Amusingly, you and I are at nearly the same weight presently. I'm at 234.5, started at 250, but I started on March 2nd.
I have my junk day coming up this Friday. I have one about every 2 weeks or so. This time, dinner out with a group of friends where I'll eat lightly the first part of the day (maybe only breakfast) then enjoy dinner by selecting an entree that is the least calorie filled of all those I'll be presented.
Keep up the good work everyone.

For me there has been no challenge in life greater than not gaining weight. Basically I have to go around feeling hungry all day. I have kept myself at 165lbs, but at 5'8" I should be down to 150 according to the doctor. I don't think I could maintain that weight. I was almost 200 lbs at one point, and besides looking horrible, I had uncontrolled blood pressure and the beginnings of diabetes. Good luck to all of you with your efforts.

It can be done but you need supplements. Your body ain't what it use to be. Naturally the body lacks vitamins, minerals and amino acids the older you get.(this isn't a problem when your 19-20ish)
It has a lot to do with your body (pituatary gland) secreting less human growth hormone among other chemicals.

Just remember, if the insurance companies had their way we would all have to weigh our original birth weight to not be considered obese.
I remember when I was in high school (in the 80's) that actuary charts would say a man my height (5' 9") needed to weigh no more than 185 pounds. Now that's down to no more than 165 pounds. Strangely the actuary charts have decreased their weight at the very same time that the US is suffering from an obesity epidemic.
Funny how that happened - can you say insurance companies looking for any excuse to raise rates?

I am taking a multi-vitamin every day... just started that when I started the diet to ensure I was getting what I need.

Plz do check isagenix's formula found in product B.
Its suppose to compete with TA-65 and for the fraction of the cost vs TA-65($60 bucks vs $200 which i believe TA65 is a ripoff only containing astralagus root as the key telomere enzyme activator)
product B has these ingredients which TA-65 doesn't.
noni fruit, curcumin, folic acid, astralagus, lycopene, carotenoid family(not just common b vitamins), niacin(ever take this alone your body temp goes up the roof, your skin feels so hot you'll be compelled to shower in cold water.)
and tons of others.
Have an interview with target so hopefully soon as I get a few paycheck rolling i'll be able to purchase this awesome product. that and we'll see how my hairline keeps it coming.
if i notice it receding (sister says its not) but my fear is getting the best of me I may need to go on avodart.
