The case is progressing. She pleaded "not guilty". By the way, I understand that our court system usually makes that the best approach, but seriously at some point if you're caught in the act, admit you did it, and anyway if you have any sense of fair play at all, I don't understand why people don't plead guilty. If I ever hurt someone I'm pretty sure I would admit it. I guess the criminal mind just thinks differently, which is why I'm not in a situation where I have to plead ... I just like to think that there is enough good in people that even if they do bad (everyone's tempted) that at some point they're willing to face up to what they've done.
I also wonder what she thinks about what she did. In her case it was so premeditated that despite the possible consequences to her I expect she's still glad she did it, and probably relishes the fact that the guy is without his dick for the rest of his life.
This article here has a video of her in court, probably from her initial hearing: http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2012/02/ ... enis-case/

A Garden Grove woman who allegedly cut off her estranged husbands penis and put it in a garbage disposal has pleaded not guilty.
Catherine Kieu, 48, pleaded not guilty to aggravated mayhem and torture on Friday.
Authorities said Kieu allegedly severed her husbands penis in July 2011 after getting into an argument. She reportedly used a 10-inch kitchen knife to cut off the organ after she drugged his dinner and tied him to his bed.
Doctors at UC Irvine were unable to re-attach the organ.
The couple had still been living together even after her estranged husband filed for divorce in May 2
