TR,

Glad that things are progressining positively for you after the minor setbacks you endured. I can understand your issues with TRT and your scrotum. My scrotum was not removed because my insurance would not pay for that. While it was flat and empty it initially seemed to get in the way more than I would have expected. It was OK during the day with normal activities but got in the way mostly at night when sleeping. It got caught between my thighs when rolling over so I always had to reach down and pull it out from between my thighs. I figured that with balls, the thighs would keep pushing it out from between my them but without the testicles there was nothing to accomplish that and it seemed to want to be back between my thighs. Things have improved as the scrotum has shrunk and I've probably adapted to it. I did consider having it removed back then but its not a problem after a year. However mine was always pretty small and tight even with balls inside.

TRT is another issue where the answer should be more in your hands. I do take some myself but nowhere near enough to get my T level into the normal level but adequate to give me some strength and energy plus aiding to absorb calcium to prevent osteoporosis. My urologist and endocrinologist have prescribed Testim gel which is similar to what your endo has suggested. I played around with various doses to find where I am most comfortable. I am currently taking 1/2 a tube which is equivalent to your 25mg but I am only taking it every other day or two, not every day. I would certainly suggest you take her up on her idea (esp if your insurance covers it) and experiment a bit. You can take that much or cut back as you may desire or maybe after playing with it, you will find that you really can do with out it. Its easy to just stop if you find it preferrable that way. You've been experimental with chemicals and injections, I'd suggest that you play around with TRT and see how it suits you.

I spoke with my end and she is strongly suggesting that I go on some sort of HRT. She wants me to go on androgen 25mg/2.5 gm 1 per day. I really feel good at the level I am at. I just have to push myself sometimes to get things done, otherwise I am not as motivated as I use to be.

I am very happy and glad I have finally made it. I wish I could have gotten my scrotum removed when I had my surgery but I will probably have that done later.

Hi Terry,

Glad to hear that things are progressing well for you and that you are happy with having it done. Thanks for the update.

One question: You speak about having to push yourself and not being as motivated as before. I've been on CA for 16 months now and I find myself having to push myself and having less motivation to do things. Has your surgery made matters worse and or is it just as when you were on CA ? I can't imagine myself changing much more after being physically castrated.

I also had to push myself when I was on CA. I don't think it has changed much ,but I do notice it a little more now. Some of it could be in my head but it is there no the less.

Day 26 since surgery.

Things are still getting better. The left side is still swollen and sore, but I am okay as long as I wear a athletic supporter. I have also noticed tingling in my right thigh and it has gotten progressively worse over the last 2 weeks. I spoke with my urologist and was told since it started a week after the surgery that it wasn't likely due to any nerve damage but rather nerve impingement and that it should go away after the swelling goes down. SO I guess I will wait and see.

I had my first orgasm as a physical eunuch and it was the best I ever have had. It did take a little more work but it was worth it. Instead of the typical male , me rolling over and going to sleep, I didn't but my wife did.

Terry,

Thanks for the progress report. I hope that you are fully healed soon.

Glad to hear that you're still up to the matter at hand of keeping the wife happy. Are you now on HRT?

I guess it was just a delay before the difficulties set in. Nothing I cant deal with, its just time to suck it up and be happy I got what I wanted

Yeah that sounds similar to my experience. I'm FINE then you go off taking a long walk with the jockstrap or sleeping without it and OUCH. Plus the black and blue takes a while before it hits and you think "I thought I was recovered!"

Hormone changes all seem like "its in your head" trust me its NOT. Hormones wire you and the mood problems, anxiety, depression, energy loss, easy weight gain, gynocomastia, mental fog, total lack of sex drive are coming from hormones or lack of them. Its not in your head.

Just a FYI about the surgery. Everything is still going well and slowly improving.

I just got the bill from the hospital and doctor. With the appointments, hospital and assorted doctors the bill right now stands at about 20,000 and the part I have to pay is right at 1,500. Which is about half Kimmel's rate. So all in all it is pretty expensive, but insurance is great.

Due to swelling and pain that just doesn't seem to want to go away along with tingling and a burning sensation in my thigh, I went to the doctor today and it has been determined that he needs to cut me open and remove a large mass. He is not sure what it is at this time, but says it is either a blood clot, hematoma or even a puss filled area. As far as the tingle and burning sensation he wants to wait and see till after the mass is removed. Due to my schedule and his it is unfortunately going to have to wait till next friday. I cant afford to miss anymore work and that is my next day off.

While examining myself during my shower it appears that the mass has adhered to my scrotum on a large portion of its surface. Does that mean anything? I wonder if I would get anywhere if I said since your having to revisit the surgery site and since the mass is attached to my scrotum, would you mind removing my scrotum.

I think the scrotum should be removed...looks much better without and is not needed for anything...
