Last night, Friday night, the power went out and the storm came. Instead of the 5 to 8 inches for my area, 24 inches of snow fell knocking power out everywhere and I had to call my brother today so he could pick me up. We close up the house without heat and took all my groceries up to my Mothers.

I'm on a modem and not the cable box.

They say the power might be restored next week like about Friday.

I'm not a happy camper.

There was a paper shortage on the paper they used to wrap new paper rolls with and on the Johnny Carson show he said its a good thing that's not TP and caused a nation wide shortage of TP. Good Grief People waiting in line to buy snow shovels, buying all the milk and meat they can carry, me I hope some of there meat and milk rot because the six weeks supply will go bad before they drink in in the next 3 days before they can go to the market again.

Dave, people are for the most part stupid.

Panic is good for business!

The NBC news says two storms are going to combine and hit you peoples again the same. Like the winter of 1910. And you remember all that pre-World War 1 global warming.

Please, those of the Blizzard persuasion, upload your location with your

storm inconvenience. Saves a trip to profile. Thank You.

You can actually have a blizzard (often further identified as a ground blizzard) without any actual snow falling, when the wind blows snow already on the ground. I have driven across Wyoming mid winter when the visibility was virtually nil, blowing snow and howling wind, and topped a rise into totally clear sunny weather above, only to go back into the blizzard as I went down the other side.

Dave I feel for you, not fun.

Here in Western Wisconsin on the St Croix river we have had snow, a few inches, ice just enough to cover the ground again, more snow expected.

Here is one for you, I use an antenna for my house, when we had anaglog TV in bad weather it would get a little snow, but now we have the new and improved digital TV so now I don't get any TV. I am glad the Super Bowl is on CBS that's one of the stations I get, if it was FOX or NBC I would need to go to a sports bar, Sports Bar to watch the Super Bowl, hmmmmmm.

Winter is winter as winter should be as a winter though not causing any damage to the services...

For the lucky ones who can experience all 4 regular seasons, it is really nice to feel the refreshing cold winds through your face, playing snoe balls and just enjoy the regular winter withour mourning...

Thnx God, we have some snow this year here in Istanbul (which I dont know why shocked some board member as how come snow in Istanbul) but we really enjoy it not to mention the traffic of course at the rush hour within the city

But anyhow it worths seeing the city cover with lovely white now... At least I prefer to have snow in winter rather than having blossoming trees :)

You never need to apologize for wording mistakes, I as with many of our members are English challenged for one reason or another.

Has Streetglide been the blizzardiest EA member these last few weeks?

If we had a EA membership map, who would be the most blizzarded on member?

Not Moi :D
