To take the question of masturbation's sinfulness as serious, one must accept the authority of those who decree it to be a sin. Who gave these men (and they're always men) the right to stand between God and man? Doesn't God know his own mind, or must he accept responsibility for whatever "his" priests want to pin on him? The insolence of these men, who blaspheme by claiming to speak for God, amazes me. A man might father 20 children, and still have plenty left for masturbation, so the procreation argument is deceptive. Were there a God, it seems to me he'd speak through the nature of his creations, and it's man's nature to masturbate.

I am happy that this topic has received the interest it has. And that includes posts that are critical of mine.

I do believe masturbation is a healthy (or can be) practice and have not moral qualms with it. Others may see differently.
