Some of the thoughts and feelings towards Christians that I have read on this thread amuse me

check it out go to the thread (Why can't we discuss race like any other subject?)

then compare it with this thread

persecuting people for what they believe is no different than being a racist or judging

a person because of their sexual orientation

I have not persecuted anyone! Personally I have stated historical facts and incidents that have occurred to myself. You want to discuss race? How about the White European Christians and slave trading in Africa, or how about White European Christians giving native Americans blankets that had been exposed to small pox. Don't get me wrong because I am white, but those are the facts of history.

Persecute was too strong of a word but was the only one that came to mind and yes history is full of peoples and nations persecuting one another I was not trying to hurt anyone’s feelings just to show how the outward manifestations grow or start from that feeling in ones heart toward an indivgual or people it grows it turns into hate and hate turns in to murder

I see no personal attacks. Were they there, they'd have been responded to by me. Perception is always in the eye of the beholder, notwithstanding intentions of any party.

Generally I agree with you on that, but there are a few notable exceptions. Just to name one belief which is worthy of persecution is fascism.

Tolerance for all things but intolerance I say.... though others have said it first and better.

Penny Lane was a street in London where slaves were sold. The proprietor of one of the slave trade companies ended up converting to Christianity and wrote the song "Amazing Grace".
