All of the raptor noises from Jurassic Park are actually the sounds of mating tortoises.

Fabulously Silly Friday - Strange but True Wedding facts:

One in four weddings ban the “Chicken Dance” from the reception.

One in six weddings ban the “Macarena” from the reception.

One in seven weddings ban “YMCA” from the reception.

One in eight weddings ban the “Electric Slide/Electric Boogie” from the reception.

One in ten weddings ban the “Hokey Pokey” from the reception.

I Want (like really, really, really) to know what sick mind plays YMCA for a wedding. What bride or groom says "I Wanna dance the loudest stereotypic Gay Anthem at their wedding? What part of YMCA says "love and honor" ...

And I thought that the "Electric Slide" was only played in senior citizen meetings and retirement villages...

And finally, all the elegance place into a wedding - - a gown, the ceremony, the pomp and circumstance -- and then The Chicken Dance?

Sorry, my mind just screams turd in the punch bowl.

(That simile is good enough. I can think of more creative and more expressive and more revolting simile's but that's good enough)

I've seen it all at weddings. I never understood the chicken dance, either. Maybe near the end of the drunken reception?

How about a good old fashioned roller-disco wedding in the theme of Xanadu ? ? ?

Wouldn't that be something special ...

The Daily Beast reports that a Silicon Valley startup --Pilot AI-- was so rank and sexist that it had a designated "masturbation zone."

Just in case you thought your office was bad in any way, shape or form.

I watched 5 movies today in an effort to avoid the constant political news --

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Call Me by Your Name

3 Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri

The Hitman's Bodyguard

Battleship (sci-fi)

Kinda schizoid

Read "call me by your name". So much better than the movie! The movie misses at least 80% of the nuance of the book and 90% of the emotion. You can play Sujan Stevens whilst reading if you like

A) "Call Me by Your Name" is inspiring .., and it is so much better than spending 2 hours with the news of the day.

B) I'm going to have more to say about the movie in another post. It might just take a few days to write it down.

C) The contrast between two excellent dramas -- "Call Me" and "3 Billboards" was stunning. The other three movies were simply eye-candy and noise by comparison. But, hey dudes, who doesn't need eye-candy and noise sometime?

(added: as opposed to TRANSFORMER's movies that are nothing but excrement... Or those talking lawn gnome movies that are brain dead phartes)
