yes its the balance of weather
if you get warm we get cold
it snowed here every monday for 5 weeks straight during all your nice warm weather
usually we never see snow..i see the northern californians needed the snow so i guess its good for them..i am tired of winter..cold and heavy downpours of rain today

Snow? we have not seen snow in a month, we have had days in the 70's and hit 80 once. Everything is in bloom, I can tell my eyes are watering and my head is stopped up, and I have been sneezing all day, the bird are building nests, the ticks are out, already had to get one off my little dog and spring is hear, snow shovels are put away, gardening tools are out, life is good.

what kind of bees do you have
we have mostly bumble bees to do our pollinating

I saw some bees.
Not around my flowering trees
They were numerous but, small and scrany, on the backyard fence covered in flowering honeysuckle.
I have been looking for a bee for several days. Blaming their absence for Apricot tree failure.

Bees do not mess with me. I can garden safely around them.
Mosquitoes and wasps prefer me over anyone nearby.

Bumble bee sightings are rare. Do I see common ? ? yellow bees that don't mess with
me when I work nearby? ?
Since it cooled off they disappeared again.
BTW what do you spray your peach trees with?
I was trying to score some dormancy spray but,
Home Depot was consistently sold out and no
one else sees to get what I wanted when I asked.
What do you recommend? Next winter maybe I can find it.
Thanks

it depends on what you are trying to control
in oregon it is a nightmare of chemicals because of all the rain
you should check with your extension agent to see what is best for california
just google california extension ...the help is free in my state
the main sprays i use are kocide during the winter and ziram and bravo during fall and spring and captan during the summer
you would need to find a farm store that sells these and if you buy all of them it costs 200$ or more
how many trees do you have??
we have had 3 bad springs in a row and it is killing my oldest trees
i will cut them down and replant this next year

Rain. Sun shone through a couple of layers of clouds yesterday, but.. that's about it. Seems like we might get a hot and sweet summer though.
Seriously, is this what this thread is about, the weather? Hehe, nice!

Yep, for a couple years now, its just about weather - would you believe?

The only thread I don't need to look at to see if people are fighting.

No storms. Just fair weather and blue skies with white fluffy clouds from time to time...
After all, who can argue about the weather, it is what it is...

My weather is better then your weather.
It is the correct weather! :realpisse
A fizzled rain storm left lovely high gray skies and a scent of salt in the air.
60F in this environment is perfectly comfy to me. No heat needed. No jacket.
But, 60F after the rain, when things are evaporating is so bone chilling cold.
60 does not equal 60?
As much as I enjoy this weather, my early gardening attempts do not.
Moi
Paradise.
You got a problem with that?

Losing a four legged companion is always a great loss, so sorry to hear about your feline friend. My best wishes go out to you.
On the east side of the cascades, storm after storm, giving us a nice snow pack and extending the studded tire deadline till April 9. another (up to) 20 inches of snow fall at the pass level tonight. Winter is really the same, just starts a bit later and goes a bit longer as compared to 20 years ago. As a skier I love the weather map that shows the jet stream blasting into Oregon, skiing into August easily this year.
