Did he require that you answer this question, though? Or would he have been OK if you would have refused to answer this question?

Also, does Dr. Arnkoff still perform orchiectomies for aspiring eunuchs without a(ny) therapist letter(s) right now?

When I asked about an inguinal orchiectomy for medical reasons, his counteroffer was a "high scrotal" operation that would remove all of the cords in the sac. Since the data I have is about inguinal orchiectomy for pain control having a 55-85% success rate, and scrotal about 25% (in an admittedly tiny dataset), I politely turned down the offer.

So… depending on your definition of "entire" the answer could be yes or no.

Does anyone know how much Dr. Arnkoff is currently charging for an orchi?

Good to know, thank you.

So is this figuring right? $3k for orchi and $2k for hotel, airfare, and other expenses. $5k should cover it all right? Flights eat up about $1200 on their own for myself and one other person, for reference. I can save more if need be.

I suppose I never answered your question. He seemed to just be curious, rather than need to know before consenting to do the procedure. I'd imagine he would have asked before I flew to Detroit if it mattered. It was only verbal, not on any paperwork.

I would think you'll be fine unless you get carried away with the "other expenses". I had mine done coming five years ago now and Dr A's fee was $2000.00 at that time. I flew from Utah to Detroit and back, stayed in a nearby hotel that had a bar, restaurant and room service and I rented a car at the airport to get me to the office and hotel. It cost me another $1000.00 for thos extras and I was alone. I only stayed two nights, the night before and one night after. Knowing what I know now, I'd stay at least one more night after the procedure.

Hey, any aussie guys made the trip to see Dr Arnkoff??? I know it would be an expensive and difficult trip, but not unachievable..... I have estimated $8200-$9500 AUD including surgery. This is properly a over estimate but better than running out on money. Thinking would need to stay total 5-6 days total as I would have between 25-30 hours travel time. Any input

Sounds about right. Hotels and food shouldn't be too bad depending on how long you stay in the US. Hire/Rental cars are not too bad if you go for an economy model.

The airline ticket and the surgery fee would be the bulk of the cost.
