Re: There's Always The Weather
That is about the same as we have had here in the last couple days, biting cold. I love it.

Of course I don't go outside.

Re: There's Always The Weather
Sun, almost 80F with some Santa Ana winds but unusually sweet smelling. Not polluted or dusty stuff or loaded with charged particles that makes the cat's fur spark on contact. There is also a major surf event going on and when the strong wind from the land hits the crest of a wave, the blow back spray is beautiful and the view of the curl of the big wave clearer.
The sweet shelling peas looked happier for two days after spraying with soapy water but today look chemically burned. I watered them down a bit and bought some super killer, do not apply to garden, "bug" killer. A spin off from Starship Troopers research. I will probably have to plant a new generation of peas between the withering 2"-4" vines. A little as I eat out of my garden, I am not concerned about toxicity. I also bought a potted cherry tomato plant and some kind of larger variety to stick in the garden box.
Does anyone have some good storms to share. Not blizzards though. They go on the blizzard thread

If you are organic gardening have you thought of using worm juice for your plants?
I can't wait tell May when I can plant my tomatoes.

Worm juice?
The only worm juice I know of is after I step on one.
Or what you suck out after you first bite the head off.
I find earthworm shit (earthworm castings) good for white fly on the hibiscus and a general fortifier around struggling plants. But my garden boxes have abundant earthworms au naturale.
Another boring 80F day by the coast after an evening of howling Santa Ana Winds.
Planted the two tomato plants I bought in a small garden ring with improved soil. Where the catnip grows that both Old Fat Black kitty and her superior, Feral Orange Kitty spend time. The eggplant did well there but, I never used them. Picked myself a small head of green leaf lettuce. Thought of East of Eden. (Where River lives and eastwardly beyond to New Jersey - the horror)

No one getting any of those good central and southwards MidWest storms?
Where are the Bible Belt and Southern members?

Yes it chases away the whitefly from the hibiscus. But, I have lots and lots of earthworms in my garden boxes. BUT, the next crop of sweet shelling pea sprouts I get, or if I plant some starter plants, I will try earthworm shit around them although they are immersed in earthworm rich garden box soil.
I never heard it termed a liquid or juice before.
Anyways, how's your weather?

Re: There's Always The Weather
We are having a very mild winter, I was out the other day in a t-shirt and sandals, something that never happens in January in this part of the country. It was about 30f or -1c
