yep we got something yesterday not sure what it was but it has left the ground kind of white in spots, today it is hovering around zero, finally its cold I guess I can put the shorts away. Now if it would just snow, last year at this time we had already gotten 48 inches.

It's 15F here now. Winter arrived this morning. Maybe 1" of snow. Lot of wind, cold, and some icy spots.

Schools on 2 hour delay.

Yes, I am wearing thermal underwear, both places, and cross-dressing with girls faux-fur boots! Well, really, you can't tell with jeans down over the tops of them...they're warm, that's all I care about! ;)

It's a long time to July...oh how I miss the 115F heat index weather!

🤘 It rains. Not just a drizzle and no gully washer but, it does rain.

I doubt it will be over a tenth of an inch if that much.

This switch to La Nina is for the birds.

I agree with River we must do something about humankind's effect on the central and western Pacific equetorial warm zone. This is the cause for both our shortages of precipitation and unusually warm winters.

Equatorial aquatic heat absorbers. Hhhmmm?

💡 ? 💡 ? Anyone?

Can't just put solar reflectors on the waters surface or soot in the atmosphere above because the source heat is probably the result of underwater volcanic activity. We must have aquatic heat absorbers if River is to have a long white winter and Moi is to be secure in his lawn watering.

Or is it the other way, 😵‍💫 we need water heaters effecting the equatorial Pacific.

What matters is humankind does something to avoid disaster to our precious biosphere.

Moi

Stop Continental Drift. The cause of it all.

It is humankind's fault too. Never forget. It must be.

Liberals can't be that insignificant not to be at fault. :D

Prediction: A Global warming rant is coming. 🙄

OK you made me laugh,

but if it does not get cold and snow this coming summer is going to be hell, insects up the ............

we need about 2 good months of below zero weather to kill the insects or else.

It is finally starting to cool off, its been in the low single numbers for the last few days.

But tell me does anybody care if it rains in California? now really does anybody care?

Well for those who do care, 🙏

It was about a millimeter. This moment I hand it to the metrics for having a more convenient unit.

This wetness may have been the door opener to further precipitation. A precipitous weekend is predicted.

Tomorrow, January 18,2012 will be the first day of sub zero temp this year, making the longest wait for cold weather ever on record.

Must be global warming.

But if finally looks like it might snow here, maybe.

High today was 18f, low 10f. 0.1 inches of snow high for the year.

There's always the weather. The place to share any weather.

What else y'gonna talk about?

Center of the Universe, Paradise had a nice light, hours long rain. Camelot style, overnight. 1/2"

A good sod soaker. Sunday is said to be Sunny and Warm (dull) with another storm coming Monday.

The Monday storm, another one day event is said to be bigger then the recent one.

Narcissus are blooming wild. I am still at war with whatever nibbles the growing parts of my sweet shelling peas. It does not break them, just nibbled. Currently protected with Sevin granules, Sevin Spray, two other sprays, and electric fence and 2 brands of critter ridder type stuff. Ideas?

Oh, and PLEASE share your Blizzard miseries or <snicker> <smirk> joys in the Blizzard thread.

Really cold and windy here. -11C (-19C after windchill). In that 15 minutes, it took to go from the office to metro station, I felt frozen.

It felt like a giant wind tunnel. Oh, and really slippery one, that part of the city is not properly cleaned from snow and ice.

And we are promised even colder weather (going down to -16).
