It was nearly +60F this morning. Now it's +37F.

Ah, the onset of the temporary ice age again.

I won't be warm again until July.

I was only able to get my office up to +80F today. Long underwear wasn't much of a help.

I turned the printer on and set the dryer to +100C and let it run all day.

It was cold today, well the wind was blowing up a storm and the warm days we have been having (high 30's) dipped below freezing, still no snow and it looks like we wont have any for Christmas, damn.

OK --- no snow until after Christmas if then. No snow in the forecast for at least a week, possible two.

It's going to be in the high 30's and low 40's for the duration of the holidays.

Possible even until past New Year's Day...

That storm petered-out in the midwest.

Yep and never moved north, its all south of us, we are high dry mold count is high for us who suffer with hay fever. No relief tell after Christmas or even after the first of the year.

This is the 32ed time in 135 years that we have had a brown Christmas, (no snow) .

Last year was the 5th snowiest winter on record, just short of 100 inches, this year we cant even buy a flake.

Wind

Cold, feels cold, heat sucking, dry, skin drying wind.

A simple, non insulated wind breaker is sufficient. And can feel warm in the bright sun. It is when the wind gets through and it feels chilly.

The second of two Wind Storms due tomorrow. Feels and sounds like it is hitting now. Luckily I got a good second watering on my land. I have that water shipped in from Northern California. My Coastal Redwood seems to appreciate it. The barometer has climbed 0.5-1 tenth of an inch a day. 30.26 inches at the time of this writing. During the wonderful cool summers it was rarely above 30 inches. The added pressure is oppressive. The cats' fur sparks when touched. I look forward to a fall below 29.86 inches and the pleasant weather it heralds. Maybe even rain.

The previous wind storms were really to the north of me. All I got was a Wind Advisory. But, tomorrow I get a full Wind Alert.

So thankful for a government that can tell me when the wind is blowing.

Paradise Blown

OK I have had it, today it was 52 yes boys and squirrels 52 deg. 5th hottest on record. The snow guys laid down enough snow so people could do some Nordic Skying, (cross country) they were out there in shorts and tee-shirts, one guy no shirt at all.

I live in the central north of the country, Minn/St Paul area, where is the damn snow??????? The Cold???????

There is always a silver lining, my heating bill will be half what it normally is.

RiverWe had almost the same - snow for catholic Christmas, and then, today - +4C. Snow? What snow? No snow.

Am I in Russia? Would we have snow for New Year? I doubt it...

Winter in Paradise, Southern California is boring. After a lovely early and mid Autumn with nice sod soaking rains and fantastic fall colors the sprinkling provides; we have 40-70F, low, low humidity, stagnant air or air coming from the wrong direction.

My lettuce, carrots, sweet shelling peas, loquats all seem to take it in stride. Some resurrected tomato plants have appeared. I hope cherry and not grape tomatoes. Could be either.

The Pacific Northwest is all the rain.

Higher altitude islands of flat clouds dispersed the rays of the setting sun to hues of orange unimaginable.

Below them an apathetic to the setting sun, deep gray high fog drifted from the South to the background of the darkening green hued, deep blue sky destined to the blackness of night.

Neither entity of moisture lingered. The air is dry.
