Heating pad? you live in southern California where according to you its a constant 80 deg perfect weather, so just what does your CAT need with a heated blanket?????? He has fur to keep him warm.

I will never understand it, heating blankets for those people who live in Southern California, Just what do you do when it gets cold???????? What would you do if the Temp was -10?

OFBK, :kittygray is Old, Fat, & Black and caught a rat yesterday.

She did not announce it with that mournful meow, or offer to share, I just saw her consuming it on the lawn.

After licking her self she swaggered to the patio door where she demanded entry and a feeding.

Hill meat is just an appetizer to her. Yet these are rats, not mice.

If you don't know, old, fat cats have a "swagger" gait where their belly swings side to side.

My winter is not particularly cold, or wet.

Yet the cats, 2 old Siamese brothers and 1 old, plumpy, mix with enough Persian to leave black hair stuff around

sure spend more hours in "stand by" or nap mode. So what's to report.

This day is overcast with patches of hazy blue sky.

OFBK :kittygray who goes outside late mornings. Today she caught and ate a rodent this afternoon and just wants to stay outside.

Izzy the little brother, seems to be more his old, vocal self and social after a long period of back ground kitty.

He is a feather weight and stopped growing or getting fat a long time ago.

Solly his big brother had another 2 growth spurts over as many months. He chunks out, than naps a few days under a bedspread, and comes out a bigger cat. Bigger cat box duty too. Duty, not doody.

Solly is a Puppy Dog, kitty who "meows", good morning in my face as soon as he thinks I am awake in the morning.

No second sleep. He wants "love time".

All 3 cats are older than any cats I ever had.

I've not seen my cat in weeks. I miss her so much. She must be so scared. I bet she thinks she'll never see me again :/

I am so grateful for my cat, she is a long haired black Persian. She just showed up at my home (on the outskirts of town) one day, it looked like she had maybe been abused because she had a flap of skin hanging down from her chest, not sure how she got that injury and I had no idea how to treat the wound, just cleaned it and let her rest, fed her, she miraculously got better and decided this was her home.

She is actually a very small cat, just that she has all that hair that makes her appear to be like a normal sized cat. She is shy and "plays hard to get" if you want to pick her up and pet her, but if you are quiet and move gently, she will eventually come to most people.

When I lie down to go to sleep, she will hop on the bed and find my hand, if I do not pet her she usually will hit my hand or arm with her paw, claws partially extended, as if to say, "HEY! Wake up and pet me for a while before you go to sleep!" Actually, I do find it very pleasant and relaxing to lie in bed and stroke my pussy for a while before I go to sleep.

It is the lazy, hazy, warm and sunny days of Spring.

OFBK :kittygray acquires several good sized rats a week, leaving only the large colon

and the brothers sleep well.

At night Izzy takes immediate attention as soon at I get into bed and big brother

Solly sleeps at tummy, waist level when Izzy moves off.

OFBK's idea of social is napping near me in the early evening. What can one expect from a Persian?

Although OFBK is very communicative. When I say Hello, she replies and knows the Hello was to her.

It has been a cat lazy month since the last update.

OFBK :kittygray does catch an occasional rat.

And the brothers, Izzy and Solly are in perpetual sleep mode, except for eating time.

The other day OFBK was resting on a chair next to where I sit at my PC.

I put on a YouTube video of kittens meowing and she got all attentive.

I never saw her or any cat become so alerted to a TV/Computer screen.

Problem Solved

Little, wiry Izzy Kitty more than he eats.

He was really acting "old" for over a year. He's entitled he and big brother Solly Kitty

will be 16 years old on May 5. The Cinquo de Mayo brothers.

I buy old line (Science Diet, Nutro) premium cat food after the vet recommended such for Izzy's kidney stones which he developed from "Wellness" brand. I bought him some Nutro Natural Choice Kitten formula.

He rarely it and after over a year of acting "old", he is his "old self again". Problem solved.

Tomorrow May 5, is Big Solly and little brother Izzy Birthday.

They will be 16 year old cats. And Izzy had kidney stones his first year.

What could I be doing wrong?

I don't know OFBK's :kittygray Birthday, but I think she is a year older.

They all have very different personalities. Solly is as I would imagine a Rag Doll cat.

Big, warm and almost a puppy dog's loyalty.

Izzy is small, wiry, wants it when he wants it and no other time

OFBK is a sweet personality. She prefers "distance" and they all get "love time" every day on their own.

OFBK takes it outside, rolling on her back waiting for a tummy rub, or sitting on a chair near me in the evening.

I do believe having "Litter Mates" is a good idea.
