I had mine done by a female doctor, I'm in the northeast. She mentioned that she only does surgery one day a week and a maximum of 4 people per day, since it's done in a hospital with full anesthesia, so each patient takes 2-3 hours. She also mentioned that the day of my surgery, the other 3 guys were having theirs removed due to cancer. I was the only voluntary castration, so I can't imagine there being 10 elective ones in one day.

Just checking in to see if anyone has considered Dr. Arnkoff recently. Does he still charge $3000 for orchiectomy or penectomy? And does he still do them on Saturday mornings?

Last I spoke with him, he was still charging $3000 for an orchiectomy.

Yes he is charging $3000. I check with him the first of June as I had plans of driving to see my niece in Ohio. and staying at her place while recovering but after driving all the way to her place and thinking about driving all the way back home I had to cancel my appointment with him.

Early this year or late last year. I got in touch with him when my last urologist was pushing opiates and I despaired of a real cure (knowing a fair bit about chronic opiate use…) but he doesn't do inguinal orchiectomy, but proposed instead a "high scrotal" approach, in the belief that he could get almost as much of the cords that way. Given the difference in pain reduction - 75% cured versus 25% - I elected to pursue different approaches.

3000$ for that easy little OP ... wow ...
