Another reason not to be a Catholic:
On October 6, 1536, William Tyndale was burned at the stake on orders of the Roman Catholic Church for committing the crime of translating the Bible from Latin into English so any literate member of the general public could read it.

Well I didnt have to know or understand latin in the Luthran church i attended for more years then I care to remember but this church to didnt teach Gods love like they should have. When Gods love it taught the way he wanted it taught you will see the diffrence in the people and the church.I see in the church I attend now how everyone is importiant in his world and I mean EVERYONE with no exceptions and when you beleave and understand this you dont show hate towards people that do things and act diffrent then we do.Heck we are all diffrent so who am i to point fingers.Yes I still may disagree but with love of the person I dissagree with.

He defined in his translation much of what became the Authorized Version. He did a fine job--at least in Gensis and the New Testament, the two sections of which I have copies. Tyndale greatly influenced English. Luther greatly influenced the development of modern German. Calvin did the same for modern French.
