Hj All.
I'm sorry. I have re-read my article, and sound so patronising. It wasn't meant to be. What I was trying to do was re-assure anyone who may be worried about the operation that there is nothing to worry about. It IS a simple operation when peformed by a competent surgeon. Of course things can go wrong. But the odds are in your favour.
All the best.

Some of the folks here (i.e., Kimmel, before him Spector, others) do not use compression bandaging, hence there has a tendency to be edema, swelling, etc. Also most folk here are NOT dealing with hospitals, at least until AFTER some of them have taken things into their own hands. Keep in mind folks are often pursuing what they cannot get through routine medical care. Course someone could help them along with a shrub shear
