Recently I have identified a Eunuch as a gender, but more for fun and shock value (it didn't shock as I expected). I have "come out" to friends as having been castrated, though not with a different gender identity. Nobody (at least to my face) has treated me differently. I'm growing more comfortable with Eunuch as a gender identity and yet it hasn't changed who I have always been. My comfort is related more to accepting that at least physically, I am different and it's okay.

That s so great that you feel comfortable letting people know you are castrated. And that most people have reacted well and treat you the same as when you had balls ! Hopefully, this will become how more eunuchs feel comfortable and accepted by their peers as civilization moves forward and people become better educated about castration.

You are a male if the organ between your ears (if you have one) tells you that you are.

You are not necessarily a male, if the organs (if you have them) between your legs tell you that you are.

The thing is that gender ID is something you get to discover for yourself. For instance, transgender men are men. Transgender women are women. It has little or nothing to do with genitals there.

The human brain is a pattern-finding machine. We like to have things sorted into little boxes and when something doesn't do that, it is a source of alarm and confusion. That's why wandering outside of what we have been widely told is masculine or feminine is difficult.

What it means to be a Eunuch in modern society is something we are discovering more and more every day. Every journey down the path towards it is different. Finding your masculinity or lack thereof is something you get to do for yourself. You set the parameters as you go, and those values are just as valid as the ones others set.

I would say the answer to your question is whatever the eunuch you're asking says it is.

I've always seen myself as a heterosexual male and still do despite the fact that my body doesn't generate much T and I've been taking female hormones in low doses. I'm just a better version of the man I always was, freed from the horrible effects of T. I was always a kind and loving man who women have found attractive. I still am, only more so.

I consider myself a 3rd gender. Neither here nor there. Blurring of the sexes and differences between men and women is a good thing IMO. A very positive development.

Coming out as a eunuch is fine but don't just tell anybody on the street. Friends are fine and should be understanding and accept you for who and what you are. There are just too many ignorant idiots out there who might give you a hard time. Just proceed with caution.

How and why would I announce my "status" to strangers? The absurdity of such behavior would deserve a "hard time". But you are correct that the world is populated with too many ignorant idiots and fortunately my circle of friends are not among them. Virtually all, like me, are Libertarian and very open minded.

The main way any eunuch would announce his status to strangers is simply choosing to get naked in locker rooms, public showers, nude beaches, saunas, drs offices, and the various other normal places that unaltered men get naked. I think being naked in front of other people, especially other males, is a normal part of life for most males.

I think its great when eunuchs feel confident and comfortable enough to get naked in front of other people, especially intact males, with no shame or embarassment.

I love hearing how people react to eunuchs and nullos in different situations. I think hearing how people really do act in members experiences is very interesting and helpful for eunuchs, nullos, and any men thinking of modifying their own body.

True..... I was thinking "announcing" in terms of introducing your status to strangers in an inappropriate manner. Like wearing a tee shirt or putting a bumper sticker on you car that says "Proud Eunuch". I was in St. Martin recently and wanted to visit a popular nude beach, which would have been the first time in since castration that I would have been exposed in public. I had the courage, but not the time before having to leave. Honestly, as I had visited that beach years ago I doubt anyone would have noticed as clothing optional etiquette rather dictates one simply does not stare and another man's junk.
