No, take 50mg after the 14 days if it works for you.

it is day 8 for me on Androcur taking 50 MG 2x daily or 100 MG.

As might be expected I am experiencing no changes other than pre cum seems a bit less than normal. I am very curious still to see what happens and how I will know it is working. Hopefully I will recognize the effects and be able to detail them for the benefit of other.

Well I hate to put a pin in jojo's bubble, but his advice should not be considered as absolute. Us humans tend to respond differently to medications and the Androcur is no exception. His warnings about possible liver damage are valid even for a 100mg a day dose and you should have lab testing done along the way to determine your T levels as well as the readings for those blood levels concerning liver function.

I had no results from the stuff until about 3 weeks into 100mg a day. I tried cutting it back to 50mg a day and it didn't work. I gradually worked it up to 200mg a day in divided doses as this was an effort to achieve chemical castration prior to going for surgery. When I made the decision to schedule the surgery which I did six months out, I then increased the dose to 300mg a day which is the max dose recommended. I was getting regular blood testing and while my T levels were dropping some more, I never did achieve castrate T levels. I DID get the gynecomastia and that is very uncomfortable and I was able to get rid of the pain with Tamoxifen but it didn't seem to stop the breast development.

When I had the surgery, I'd been tapering off the Cyproterone as sudden stoppage is not recommended. I didn't really notice a whole lot of change with no testes initially but in a couple of months, man the night sweats were awful. Most of the side effects seem to taper off but then I had some other medical issues develop and it was a pretty rocky road for the next couple of years. I finally wound up using just a very small amount of HRT as I had weight gain, depression and PTSD.

Now some four years later, life is pretty good for an old guy, but be aware that monkeying around with your hormones takes time and you talking about weeks to see results is totally unrealistic.

For the most of us is 100mg an very good working dose for the beginning and yes, liver damage is also on 100mg possible, but more if you use this dose over a long time. If hee feels the change, he should test 50mg. If this is not enough he should use 100mg again (but I think it should work).

The plan is still for 100 MG (2x 50) for 14 days and reducing to 50 MG. It is day 9 and no real changes. I was able to orgasm yesterday after only a minute or two. Felt just a little less normal, but it might just be the mind playing tricks. Ejaculate a bit lower in volume bit not by much.

The ability to orgasm and ejaculate isn't influenced for longer time. The main benefit at first will be that you are very calm in sexual things.

So the other issues will be no more important for you. The urge to have sex or to masterbare will decrease and sex issues will be senseless for you.

Beleve me, if you don't have bad side effects, it will be a nice time for you.

Just a status update. It is Day 10 for me on Androcur 100 MG daily. (50 MG twice daily).

So far there are no changes that I can detect. Libido still intact. Unfortunately I really don't know what changes will occur over the next week of so. Cannot imagine loosing my interest in sex or or after a time any function as well. Just have to wait and see and hope I am not disappointed.

Well it is Day 11 taking 100 MG Androcur (2 X 50 MG). Nothing new to report. No changes still able to edge quickly. Trying to be patient, not really knowing what to expect. Gets me a little anxious but iI know I have to be patient.
