Yes it was.

Amen. And there are still idiots proposing term limits for the nation or other states. Learn from CA's mistakes.

River, I'm surprised I didn't catch this when you posted it, but NO state has term limits on federal office holders. States, including California, tried for a time but it was thrown out by the Federal courts. Those states where Federal term limits passed combined with state term limits were allowed to keep their local term limits.

Now if you're talking about the California Assembly (our version of the House of Representatives), then you are correct, as you would be for the California State Senate and other state level offices including governor.

That was my reference, Gov Brown was able to served twice again because the law were from that point on, luck you guys, Jerry is back, again.

Yes, federal office holders do not have term limits. To chant that would take a constitutional amendment which will never happen.

Warmer waters off the California coast have usually been associated with El Nino events,

yet not all El Nino events have not been watery.

Now, the current "blob" of hot water off the California coast is associated with Volcanic activity.

Is the Blob the end for the drought.

Stay tuned.

From the photo link above:

Dear California,

Drought got you down?

Too fucking bad. We donโ€™t care. You chose to live in a desert, so quit fucking whining.

Signed,

The rest of the country

Dear Rest of the Country,

Do you like to eat? Get prepared to pay out the a$$ for it, because we're going to stop exporting food and keep what little we have to feed ourselves. We don't have enough water to grow food for you.

Love,

California

Someone earlier in the conversation talked about Chinatown. The movie, if memory serves, talked about the rerouting of the LA River and LA being a desert. Unfortunately, I think people have lost sight of the gact that the entire Imperial Valey was a desert. Maybe they could trap the water going into the LA River?
