I know this is a little late, but I just REALLY wanted to thank everyone for their responses. I started this topic because I was trying to figure out whether my fears about telling others, and what others would think, were a common thing or not. And apparently, they aren't. This thread really helped me to realize that I shouldn't be so worried about that, and really the only thing holding me back from pursuing my dreams was myself.

And I think you all will be happy to know, I am NOT letting that hold me back anymore. So thanks, everyone, this was a really big help, and thanks to you all, I discovered true happiness for the first time in my entire life. I might not have had the courage to do it otherwise. So again, thank you very much!

The fear of telling others, especially those close to you, is a real concern for many. It has keep me from sharing my concerns with them for many years.

OMG, TOTALLY!!! :D That is awesome! (Here's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcZro7pX2gA) another one by the way (probably more accurate to real life given my height and hair color,) but yeah, let's just say that there's a reason why this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiHXASgRTcA) is like my favorite Youtube video ever. [OMG, they're so adorable I'm gonna die!])

Anyway, yeah, pretty much. (Not to distract from the topic at hand or anything... :p cute kittens make ANY topic better!)

For me it is finding a surgeon to do it without the hassle and rigmarole that you have to go through ...

Cash? No problem.

Time? Again, no problem.

Family? None - I'm by myself.

I reckon a trip to Thailand for my 60th Birthday is on the cards ...

feedback,

Is your wife against you having your male parts removed or is it something else? I read one article about a man who wanted to have his male parts removed and his wife finally agreed to it, but she was against him transitioning into a woman. She said she'd divorce him if he started dressing like a woman. She thought that was just to weird and odd, but getting rid of his penis and testicles was o.k. So he got the surgery and is a mangina man still living with his wife. Apparently she didn't care about intercourse or being penetrated, so now they share similar parts and loving it.

Sounds like my situation, except the divorce part.

Over the last week or so my wife has actually offered to let me try on some of her clothing.

Needless to say it was fun and a somewhat awakening experience.
