That this tv series was happening escaped, for which I am rather glad, my attention. I prefer doing something useful to doing nothing and having doing it be useless.

Obviously, to me, if to no one else, the surface message of the series, as I discern it from the trailer and the prior comments here, is, "Please buy our advertiser's products." For that message to be effective, and effectively subliminal, the commercials have to be far superior to the series itself.

Perhaps re-reading Jerry Mander's 1978 book, "Four Arguments For the Elimination of Television," would be worth the effort?

The beauty of the total demise of electricity, in addition to what I saw depicted in the trailer, is quite wonderful. Because, in myelinated nerves, conduction between nodes of Ranvier is electrotonic, all myelinated nerve conduction will fail.

I'm going to go watch the second episode in a little while, but I wanted to leave this note, just in case.

In the event that I do not survive the experience, and some mysterious cranial explosion-type event occurs, I want the cause of death to officially be listed as "Revolution", and I would like to be acknowledged as the first person ever to be directly killed by a television show. Perhaps an incident like this can help protect others from these kinds of shows.

The first forty five minutes had no feet.

The story for Episode 2 is in the last fifteen minutes.

It repeats on Saturday, not Wednesday this week.

From the previews it looks like episode 3 will be more convoluted.

I plan to stick with it.

NBC gives full-season pickups to 3 new series

The network announced Tuesday it is picking up for a full-season order the adventure-drama "Revolution" and the comedies "Go On" and "The New Normal."

The network said "Revolution," from producer J.J. Abrams, has averaged a healthy 9.8 million viewers in its first three airings. "Go On," which stars Matthew Perry, is averaging 8.6 million viewers thus far.

After reading this thread I watched the first 3 episodes online. It reminds me of Lost, what with Elizabeth Mitchell and Mark Pellegrino in it. I was expecting Mr. Eco and John Locke to pop up somewhere. Maybe Randall will be played by Jorge Garcia. The show looks interesting.
