Our motivations were quite different for our desire for castration. You are a male and that is the gender with which you identify.

I don't think there are three genders but rather eight This is because people typically classify solely on genitalia and forget to consider orientation (attraction and aversion).

Here are the gender orientations I would define:

birth male genitalia, attracted to females, adverse to males = heterosexual male

birth male genitalia, attracted to females, attracted to males = bi-sexual male

birth male genitalia, adverse to females, attracted to males = homosexual male

birth male genitalia, adverse to females, adverse to males = asexual male

birth female genitalia, adverse to females, attracted to males = heterosexual female

birth female genitalia, attracted to females, adverse to males = homosexual female

birth female genitalia, attracted to females, attracted to males = bi-sexual female

birth female genitalia, adverse to females, adverse to males = asexual female

Note I would tend to classify transsexuals according to where they desire to end up in the above scheme.

Note intersex doesn't fit neatly. I would tend to classify them according to where they desire to be in the above.

Also note that the aversion levels can vary, from outright hate (i.e. the kind of guy who will beat up a gay guy who makes an advance), to general distaste (which is where I am -- I get creeped out if I have to sit next to a guy on a bus or plane), to mild (like guys who are don't mind gay encounters to get off conveniently but aren't really attracted to guys).

What do you guys think? (I know classifications are always problematic, but I figure a more comprehensive classification is better than current two/three orientation system that is commonly applied).

Lastly, I suppose a case is to be made to combine the asexual categories because it doesn't really matter what sort of genitalia you've got if you're asexual.

At this point, I am in the same position I was a week or two ago. I still have over an inch incision gaping open in my scrotum... I am still in pain (unfortunately)... I have my 2-week follow-up from my new urologist this Tuesday. This past Friday I had X-Rays taken of my Pelvis and Scrotum to detect foreign objects (my urologist thinks kimmel may of left something inside). Depending on the result of this upcoming follow-up appt, I may have to schedule surgery to correct kimmel's screw-up.

Ashley,

Is there such a thing as Transgender surgery where only the testicles are removed and the scrotum is cut in half vertically to make them look like labia? If the penis shrinks, I think you could get away visually with a pseudo vagina. In fact, if a eunuch keeps his scrotum and has it cut in half, they/it would definitely look like a labia. Takers?

This is all really a tale of woe with Kimmel but as the only available reasonably accessible option he will continue to have victims (whoops patients). I wonder how much of the problem is technique and how much of it is due to the " Come on in; OK you're now cut; Now go on home- you will be OK" approach. It seems to me that part of the problem is that follow up inspection and care is not practicable for most.

The scrotum is a complex organ and expands and contracts with temperature, emotion, etc so I expect that room must be left in placing the stitches to provide for this movement. It has also been seriously traumatised and provision must be included for the resultant swelling and ongoing drainage. From my experience, a cut in the scrotum does not heal normally like a cut in the palm of your hand. it is just a slow process. Also the scrotum is in a warm, humid and somewhat non sterile area. It may be that Kimmel's work is OK as far as he was able to take it and that the problems arise from lack of suitable follow up Post Op care. It is interesting to note that Dr Specter had virtually identical issues. OTOH they were both elderly and maybe were/are indeed a bit past it.

In any case, I guess that it might be prudent after the orchie to go to a local practitioner to keep an eye on things from day one to correct any issues as they come along.

I don't really know but would like to hear any views from the front line in this area. i.e those that have been there and done that

Not sure yet... (even if he did)... I had the x-ray this past friday but they wouldn't tell me if they saw anything. I will find out tomorrow. I will share the results after my urologist appointment.

Thanks to Kimmel... I have surgery scheduled for December 11th to fix Kimmel's mistake.

According to the x-ray doc, my x-rays are clean...

Whoa, what did he leave in?

i hope it wasn't 2 testicles.

hopefully soon you are able to look past the surgery and reflect on the experiances of being a eunuch like Kangan has seemed to do.

LOL... :-P

i hope it wasn't 2 testicles.

I do not consider myself a eunuch like a lot of people on here do. I think of myself more of a TG female. Also, as for looking past the surgery... No, that, I cannot do.
