Remember everyone is different. I had terrible pain for about 3-4 hours after each injection, and I guarantee that they were placed correctly.

I´m medicaly well educatet. But I`m not a doctor... I`ve some qustions about the "relativ safety". Beside the Danger of infection and internal bleedings the accidentally injection into a blood vessel is in discussion...

Why? Is the resulting blood alcohol the reason? 😵‍💫

No, they mean that there are types of alcohol, like wood alcohol, that are pure poison and will cause blindness and other very bad effects.

The rule is that you should only use alcohol types that are safe to drink. You wouldn't drink wood alcohol and therefore don't use it for injections.

One thing that a lot of people don't realize with syringes is that they will get dull with even a tiny tap. A sharp syringe should not have much problem going into a testicle, but if you bump the tip on anything (including the glass bottle your vodka is in) it will dull it.

This reminds me, the pharmacy where I purchased syringes Friday evening had 70% Ethyl Alcohol on the shelves, among the Isopropyl, Rubbing, Wintergreen, and other alcohols. It's only $3 for the plastic bottle, quite a savings over a pint of Everclear, but I'd still rather use something more expensive that I'm absolutely certain was intended for human consumption. ;)

Often ethyl alcohol is denatured -- poison added. If it was drinkable (safe for injection) it would not be $3 a bottle. Best to be safe.

I find insulin needles to be the best. I use a #29. +1 on the comment about dulling needles, very easy to do.

Use only alcohol for human consumption. If you can't drink it, don't use it.

Look, this is a decision that will change your life. Why do you want to go cheap and use something that might hurt you? Use only what you can drink.

Dave's right, use only what is safe to drink and know that it will castrate you so be sure that is what you want. It's been about a year since my last injection and my testicles are small hard and ride high up. It works so don't mess around if you can't live with the outcome.

To be absolutely honest, I didn't have my glasses (I'm almost 53, with presbyopia, "old eyes") and couldn't read anything but the largest letters on the label, hence my very quick decision to NOT purchase it. I mentioned it here precisely because I didn't want anyone else to make the mistake.

In my entire life, any time any product labeled "alcohol" contained Methyl alcohol (methanol), it was always prominently labeled as "Denatured", which this product was not. 🤷

The simple way around this is to use only alcohols made for human consumption. You won't find them on the shelf at the drug store. It's a quick and easy quality control.

In chemistry, alcohols can be many different compounds. Don't trust that the word alcohol means something you can consume when you are in a drug store or the toiletries section of a supermarket.

My last word is a question: Would you buy cut rate brain surgery at a "BOGO" sale? No, obviously not. Don't cheap on alcohol for a few bucks.
