This is just great.
It cooled off enough to open the windows and shut down the central AC, and it smells like someone either hit a skunk on the road, or the neighbors' dog set one off.
At least it's outside, could be worse....
The GF's brother's family had a dog who got nailed badly by a skunk and immediately came inside and attempted to wipe himself off on the carpet, sofa, etc... This is known as one of the ways to create lasting memories...

Dear Paolo, please, which means:
"Don't let the cats out, and watch out for that writhing, moaning, bitch on the floor!"

Talula and Gem got two new kittens. Their main goal in life is to escape to the outside!
Ask Justapup about that signature quote.

Lol! I honestly don't remember how it got set up, but I was having a conversation with someone as some other people just arrived. Some yells out, "Don't let the cats out!" Then it got super quiet as I said, "I'd just be a writhing, moaning, bitch on the floor." Causing some laughing from the crew XD

That's a lot out in the desert. I'm hoping when I get to 4-corners in a couple of weeks, that the weather cools a bit. Of course, I'll be higher in elevation, but still in the desert. Though as I type this, it's 68F/20C in one location I'm visiting on this trip, and the other spots I'm planning significant outdoor activity are to be around 90F/32C.
I hope my weather is no worse than that while I'm there.
Couple of weeks gets you to Sept-Oct, which should be perfect. Hard to go wrong any time of year there. Do you mind if I ask where you are going. A few like Canyon de Chelly are on my list. May want a report.

Rain rain go away. Come again another day. The weather prediction every day for the past week has been monsoon rains today and tomorrow and then clearing. The day after tomorrow never arrives. My lawn is a jungle.

We got a nice rain bomb here Monday as I was in town getting copies of some hard to find historical documents that Jesus A. had sent me years ago. I cleaned out my old PC desk and found some buried treasure in there. Town flooded, of course. Millions of dollars in new sewer system, 2 years of disruption to local businesses with Main Street dug up, and the sewers don't work any better than the old ones. The ones on South Depot St. were shooting water UP like geysers! The main intersection downtown was 2' deep in water. Some residential areas just have signs now that say "Impassable During High Water."
The good news is, the copies survived.
We've had highs in the low to mid 80's, and overnights of 50's.
Next week, the 100F+ heat indexes return for about 5-6 days with muggy nights. Have to turn the AC back on, I guess.
The first week of July, power was out here due to the string of storms that hit the IL/IN area. Most people were out for 5-7 days. I have heard that one of the power companies raised rates. In my case, my light bill went down by $1. 6 days, no power, and $1?!

Don't know about your power, but especially in the Summer, our gas bill has a minimum and 'account fee' that is greater than the cost of the gas that we actually use...

Our electrical co-op has a membership fee. So if I throw the breaker and leave for 30 days, then turn it on when I come home, I still have a bill for $40 waiting for me, plus state tax, plus "power cost adjustment", which is money arbitrarily added on for power I didn't use. Then the bill is rounded to the nearest dollar. These fees are often more than the amount of power I use.
If I had hit the billion dollar lottery, one of my first goals would have been to use the money to destroy this coop.
Of course, that was after I bought the Ford dealer and burned it down. My initial dream was to continue buying up dealerships and burning them down until I ran out of money.
