May Gray & June Gloom continues.
Lows in the low mid 60's
Highs hardly mid 70's
Sunset finally before 8:00 PM
Interesting year considering so many have high heat records
Maybe this rainy season will get some rain

Monsoon overcast are keepingu high temps in the mid-70s this week. Not bad for end of July. Plus scattered rains keeping watering down.

Here in San Diego today it is cool, overcast, and not windy.
The perfect time for a stroll outdoors.
While others talk of inclement weather, and people say how expensive it is to live not just in San Diego, it is worth the price.

PLEASE keep your monsoon air
closer to your home.
Last night it sloshed its' way to the sea here in the OC
It made for difficult sleeping as it occupied the night and
until a bit after noon. Used asthma rescue inhaler.
When the air was totally saturated it left a water glaze on
roads and pavement for a few hour.
Regardless temps remain high 60's to mid 70's
Now the sky is clear and the air feels enfreshened.
Look that up in your Funk & Wagnell

I have never experienced the
heat & humidity at the desert by the sea
as the last last few few days.
Yet "they" say rain is coming
Stay tuned

I've been seeing the uniquely Bostonian sign of approaching fall for the last couple of weeks - When they put up flashing warning signs on all the major highways into the city - "Attention Rental Trucks: Do NOT use Storrow Drive"
For those not familiar with the city, Storrow Drive is part of a network of "Carriage ways" around the city that date back to pre-automotive days, and are now traffic nightmares w/ lots of car traffic, on narrow winding roads... Storrow runs along one side of the Charles River, and has several VERY low clearance bridges, and is legally posted for cars only. But Boston is also a major college area, and the 'best' route from several of the major highways to most of the bigger schools (Harvard, MIT, BU, BC, etc.) includes Storrow Drive IF you are driving a car... The problem is we see huge swarms of freshmen that don't know the city driving in with rental trucks (often the first time they've driven something that big) blindly following the directions on their GPS, that they didn't reset for vehicle height, and learning the hard way why trucks aren't allowed on Storrow Drive... (When they do it jams the road for several hours while the State Police back them out...)
It is bad enough that one of the local radio stations used to run a betting pool on how many - "Big Bucks for Stuck Trucks" The signs are an effort to discourage it - some times it works....

We had 4" last weekend in 2 days' time. Dry since.
My garden is pretty much gone, but for the container plants.

In Tonopah, NV (yes, drove by Pahrump without stopping). Last night the wind had a different feel to it - like maybe autumn is within sight.
