Maybe so. The grocery store was packed and someone just bicycled by. I think there is something going on downtown too.

For those of you who have never visited Norman Rockwell's America it does exist and is located where talula now lives. I know this as I have seen it first hand, they have parades that go down residential streets, not main street because nobody lives on main street, they pass right in front of talula's house. There are no curbs or walks and everybody knows your name and where you live. The local market is the meeting place, the heartbeat of the town as it were. I does not surprise me that people are out and about, if you want to know what it looks like think Grumpy old Men and its sequel, yes that is where it was filmed or close by, if you doubt my words it right at the mouth of the St Croix and Mississippi rivers. Like I said, mid America.
Home of the worlds record Bratwurst provided by that local market.

The name of the market is pronounced 'P,utacks'

Yesterday, I had my water tank filled - they deliver 5000 gallons of water with a very long four-inch diameter hose if the temperature is above freezing.
Today, I had to visit my Mom today and it was 40 and melting snow and then I went food shopping. It's 47 deg F out there now.
The rain is almost at Wheeling. That's not many miles west of me.
Monday is supposed to rain all day until 6pm and them snow down past 13 and below zero F.
I'm so fucking thrilled. My entire body hurts from the dampness and cold. I just got over the sniffles and shits.
I have so many legal things to do for my Mom it's not funny.
I feel like finding something inanimate and beating it to death.

I am not going outside today or tomorrow for nothing and nobody, the dog is on her own - clip on the lead and let her run.
And to think in a month I will be in sandals, shorts, t-shirt and straw hat to keep the sun off my head wondering if I should shut the window because its 66deg.
No I will not miss this cold, not ever.

What about your pagan deities of this season? Won't you miss them.
You better pretend so until you are safely on your Pacific rock. If you, really, really believe.
Al Jazeera says it is warmer on Mars. They do not say where on Mars. :-\
Moi
Does this count as my wished for ttfn storm for River?
I don't sense enough precipitation. Cold enough.

Haul your ass to Mars and find out where it is warmer. Use a wormhole.
I mean to say, we'll wait. And we aren't inquiring minds, we are curious minds but hot inquiring.

There is a video out there of a guy taking a pot of boiling water
Going outside in the -24F sunny weather, tossing the water into the air
and it instantly becomes "snow".
Why snow and not a sheet or odd shaped iced, water ?
I hope many of you will try this at home and report back.
Remember: Because the water is boiling, you won't need a jacket

Will the pagan deities of Winter hold a grudge on River?
