Day temps have been 85 - 90 with monsoon clouds. This morning was first when I opened doors to get 5 am fresh air thru house. I am not going to get used to it yet. Summer can still bite.

How can Summer, or Indian Summer bite more?

I even got a patio restored Western-Holly range on my patio before such things were chic.

And a Generac NG generator!

Seems cooler although not by the numbers.

The highs are higher! 80F

The lows too. 70F

Humidity 80% not 40% or less.

Monsoon exports breaks a clear morning with its' high clouds.

Funny you should mention weather,

we have had some. It has rained here in sunny AZ for about three weeks. Cloudy days have moderated temps to about 90 plus or minus instead of +100. Nobody remembers seeing things so green. Like Kentucky in the desert. The downside is my yard is a foot high, the little bugs and mosquitoes are annoying and people's allergies are off scale. Sleeping at night is like having one a wicked flu where you almost spend the night in a chair rather than reclined.

Half the rain would have been nice, but climatic averages are calculated from extremes.

Day #4 of gray skies, twice wetting streets in the AM.

No water flow. Just wet. Nothing even measurable

Currently they chill in a wine cooler.

The weather has been under 80F

with "bad air". Although the Weather Service (some service)

rates it as "Moderate"

The squirrel discovered my Peter's Honey Figs.

Monsoon season goes thru the end of Sept. Total precip to date in the area is generally about 12 inches. Double the normal 6 inches. That made double the mosquitoes and double the allergy season.

An odd, rumbling noise early last night.

After some time I went outside and

saw the lightening too. No precipitation.

It was over 10 seconds from flash to rumble

and an hour later it was hardly 4 seconds.

The sky was cloudy towards @Arab Nights to

the north east.

I can't remember lightening & thunder here

in The O.C.

Just made a loop north. Nevada was covered by California smoke. Idaho was covered by Idaho and California smoke. A few trees and patches are starting to turn yellow on the Salmon River, so get your fall gear out for a pretty road-trip.
