I feel your pain. Or I felt your pain, as I tried a concentrated NaCl solution a couple weeks ago to gauge the effect. Not bad, but I don't think it had any permanent effect. Many, many years ago I saw a report on the use of a concentrated saline injection used in an attempt to remove an otherwise inoperable brain tumor. Now days they would fry it with a proton beam. Your analogy to a pair of 'tumors' is very descriptive. I've been racking my brain to think of all the ways that tumors can be removed. The ideal method is a spontanious remission. The only problem is how to tell your body what you need to get rid of. If you are doing repeat injections, with CaCl2 then I don't think it's the silver bullet we are all hoping for.

You will probably end up requiring a surgical removal in the end. There must be a better way. I'm still thinking on it.

While not the silver bullet (i.e. painless and completely effective would be nice) we had hoped, one reason he is doing repeat injection is because he didn't do full dose the first time (and in fact may not have the second time). The method is extremely dose and concentration dependent. It seems to be cumulative. So doing multiple small doses should work, although going through the pain each time isn't recommended.

I still say this is the most effective method we have for do it yourself. All the methods are painful (ever tried to burdizzo or withstand elastration?), the alcohol injections really don't seem to be dependable at least without months of weekly injections, and many methods are simply outright unsafe.

I think the ultimate would be CaCl but with ability to do a nerve block of the testicles. If it wasn't for the three days of significant discomfort, it is pretty tolerable and effective.

To me the main danger would be to get chronic pain from a CaCl injection. I think most people get lingering tenderness. In my case I can say that if anything the testicles are pretty much totally numb now, but there was a worry for me during the initial three days that if it lasted it would be totally intolerable. Of course the good news is that testicle pain itself can necessitate surgical removal, or in any case would be a good starting point for going to a doctor and having them check out the testicles to discover a problem.

If we're defining the silver bullet as something that is DIY-able and will castrate you easily and painlessly, then perhaps this is not it. However, due to the change in the tissue of my testicles that I've already noticed, I'd say this quite possibly could have the potential to possibly castrate (or at least reduce T levels significantly), though painless it may not be. My second injection wasn't because of any question on whether or not the CaCl will work (though we still don't know for sure!), more just that I keep struggling to get enough CaCl into one of my testicles (and furthermore, noticed that the one I did get enough into, only one half seemed to react, at least outwardly, to the injection - the half that immediately surrounded the injection site).

I'm 7 days post-second-injection, and currently in no pain. They're still tender when manipulated of course, but that's the extent of it. I'm still waiting for them to be less tender to fully feel out the right testicle (the one that got the full dose the first time and half reacted) and see how the other half of the tissue feels. I'm hoping it is hard/tough feeling and misshapen as the lower half is. My left testicle, the troubled one, when I manipulated it very gently, felt different than before. Not completely numb, but it felt similarly hard, though to a lesser extent, as the right one. So that's good news. I threw out my bottle of CaCl, and I'll be waiting another 2-3 months to see what happens from here before I try anything else. I've got 10 hydrocodone stashed away for whenever I may decide to inject again, if at all.

I'm fully expecting to eventually need surgical removal of my testicles. My hope is that, as SplitDik said, I can damage them to the point that a urologist will recommend surgical removal and it will be covered under insurance (When I do get some again!). Considering how damaged my right testicle feels at the moment (hard, lumpy, misshapen), I'd say that's a damn good possibility . If not, I'm currently working on building my credit (I'm young, 21, only 1 year of credit so far. Just unsecured my first credit card!) and hopefully in the next two years I'll be able to take a loan out for what I'd like to do (About $10k for breast augmentation and orchiectomy). This little experiment was just to hope to damage them enough that their testosterone output will be severely diminished (or best case scenario: completely stopped) until then.

Anyway, as far as my testicles go, not much else to report. As I said, I've got no major pain, just tenderness. I'm waiting a couple more days before I try manipulating them a bit more and feeling out what they've done. My epididymis is swollen again on the left testicle, just like before, and my right testicle has a hydrocele that is slowly dissipating, also the same as before. The hydrocele was the largest about day two (probably about the same size as my testicle, completely surrounding it in a good cushion of fluid, mostly towards the side that faces my body), and at this point (Day 7), is about 1/3 of that original day 2 size. It took about 1.5 weeks to fully disappear the first time (though the swollen testicle remained).

I'll keep everyone informed and post another update sometime next week. I'm still very happy with the outcome, regardless. It was worth the pain, and doesn't seem to have any major bothering effects at this point. Just to state again, as posted many pages ago, the damage from CaCl can take up to 60 days to come to fruition. As SplitDik has posted, it disrupts cell regeneration from the salt buildup, and slowly kills the testicle that way, not like alcohol where the damage is sudden and acute. So there's little point in rushing to conclusions at this point. We will have to wait and see.

The left one is smaller than it has ever been since puberty; the testis is smaller than its epidydymis and much smaller than the varicocele that empties it. The right testis is twice as large as the left in all three dimensions, but its varicocele is much smaller than the left one. I have decided to wait to do a second injection until September or until libidinous signs reappear, whichever is the earlier. When/if I do reinject, I will do the right side only, partly to mitigate the inconvenience of the pain and swelling, and partly because I think the left testis is finished (and may not accept any extra fluid).

I am pretty sure the method kills testicular tissue, but it has left me with a reasonably normal (maybe slightly small) looking package, which is mildly disappointing! However the drop in libido/driven-ness has lowered the level of my disappointment so much that I cannot be bothered to do something more drastic myself or to try to get a medic to remove them! Dodo

Thanks for the update! Please keep us informed as to any changes. It's interesting that your testicles still outwardly appear normal! That could be a pro or a con, depending on someones outlook. For me, as long as they don't work, that's all that matters. I'm still waiting for my right testicle to keep changing - it's decreasing in size currently, and about the same size it was before. Not sure when I'm going to reinject, but I believe I will at some point in the next 2-3 months.

I injected each of my testicles 5/13/2013 with 1.5cc per teste of a 30% solution of Calcium Chloride. Funny thing was, the actual needle penetrating the scrotum and teste was literally painless... Anyway, I was wondering how long did it take for you to have your testicles completely numb. The first 24 hours, mostly the first 6 hours, was the worst.

It's almost a week and the swelling is finally going down. I can walk normally for extended periods of time as well. Unfortunately, they still feel like my normal testicles but very swollen. I can squeeze them and feels like how they felt before but just larger.

Hmmm. Mine seems to have taken very well then. They are completely and uniformly swollen and shrinking equally the same. The only pain I do suffer from at the moment is pain on my right testicle near a narrow end. It hasn't let down at all, but it only hurts when I remove my underwear and let them hang freely. I hope it did the work. Only time will tell and I am not a patient person. Haha.

Edit: I am still wondering why the needle did not hurt at all. What type of needle did you use to inject with? I used basic .5cc insulin needles.

I'm not sure why this is surprising to you. Thin needles like those used for innoculation and insulin are generally painless, and furthermore I read somewhere that testicle nerves can only feel pressure (to which they're exceptionally sensitive) and actually don't feel heat/cold or punctures. This difference in nerves is interesting -- think about the difference in pain in hitting your thigh versus hitting your testicles (the latter is so greatly more painful) so it is quite possible that things that you might feel strongly on your skin (like a prick or scratch) could be much less sensitive in the testicle.

Before injecting CaCl, I had for years had dominatrixes pierce my testicles with various needles. While it looks impressive, it is pretty much painless and sometimes not even noticeable.

Anyway, the main factors in painless piercing of a testicle are a small gauge needle and make sure it is very sharp, as not having one of these will cause pressure which the testicles DO feel.

By the way, one thing people don't all know is that if the tip of a hypodermic needle even bump against glass they will dull, so when filling them from a bottle make sure the tip doesn't hit the bottom of the bottle. If it does, it is definitely wise to replace the tip before injection.

Having had me testicles hanging out with no scrotum in a cold emergency room with I can assure you they do feel cold and it's not painless.
