I contacted Dr Fara and was told orchiectomies start at 5000$. I've been planning on visiting Dr Arnkoff but if he keeps increasing his fees things are going to be tight. Still haven't heard back from Dr Arnkoff and based on others responses I may need to call him instead. I just hope he isn't too expensive by the time March rolls around.

Considering the current Thailand round-trip expedia air fare is $1400-1600, and maybe Dr A doesn't include a tropical vacation...

Without proper contacts i.e. people you can trust Thailand may beckon, but it does not fulfil our dreams

Trying to remember, but there was a westerner in Thailand called (?)Nick Connor, with a Thai wife who together had something to do with the Samui clinic in Thailand. I think some folks here used them? The Search function might well bring up more, and a web search might give contact info?

It has been a few weeks now since my visit to Dr. Arnkoff and things have went well. Can't say that I wasn't concerned after hearing from Dr. Arnkoff at the appointment about all the things that could happen, possibly resulting in the need to obtain emergency medical care. But like I said, things have gone well for me. What I wanted to comment about is my feelings prior to the surgery. I had been desirous of an orchiectomy for many years and had spent untold hours, off and on, scouring the internet in search of information that would result in the fulfillment of my desires. I came across this site and saw the post regarding Dr. Arnkoff's web site myorchie.com and I immediately went to the site. Although a bit skeptical, I filled out the online form and gave Dr. A some additional information in the comments box and hit the send button. Being anxious yet skeptical at the same time I kept a constant vigil for an email from Dr. A. After 2 or 3 weeks I came to decide that my skepticism was justified and gave up the vigil. After about 2 months though an email was there in my inbox from Dr. A saying that he wanted to help me and to call him. I can't even begin to describe the flood of mixed emotions that hit. Was this for real? Am I really reading this? This is what I had wanted for years and now it is time to put up or shut up. Wanting something that had been virtually impossible to obtain was now right there in front of me, being offered, and the reality of making the decision to make that phone call hit me. I knew that there was no way I was not going to make that phone call and nervously placed it. A male answered with hello and I asked who am I speaking to? This is Dr. Arnkoff, who is this? I then proceeded to tell him about the email I had received and he said that he knew who I was. We talked and he asked me some questions which satisfied him that my health was good. He asked me when I wanted it done and that he was raising his price after the first of the year. I told him that I wanted it done ASAP but would need a little time to make travel arrangements and we agreed on the date which was about 3 weeks out. I thought time had stopped during those 3 weeks and everything then seemed surreal up to and including the procedure. I have never been happier and have crossed the orchie off my bucket list

What we need here in the UK is Doctors like that who would perform that type of operation that is one thing i have never heard of over here
