My Doctor's nurse just called to say my cataract surgery is obj February 4th. Problem is my doctor is in Beaumont which is a few towns away. No bus goes there so I'm calling senior centers to see if they can help. The nurse said I need to come with someone sinve I will be disoriented afterwards. Sounds fun huh?

Everything will seem to glitter at night. At least that's what my Mother said.

Catholic Social Services is another group that will transport for free. They are very active in my area. I took mom to both of her cataract surgeries and the first went well. The second she insisted I take her to the Olive Garden for lunch. They just numbed the eye so I do not know why you would be disorientated.

Since I still have no time for my surgery, I called the office. The surgery coordinator said I will get a call one day before the surgery on the time I am to arrive.

I hope yours is as easy as mine was. Quick, simple, painless. The worst part was having to wear a plastic bubble over my eye at night for a week to make certain that I didn't rub it while I slept. As soon as the surgery was done, I could see better out of that eye without glasses than I could before with glasses.
