There's Always The Weather
Re: There's Always The Weather
The past few days have been sunny and wonderful. Flowering trees blooming, grass is growing, mushrooms coming up. We had our first recorded heat index of 80F yesterday! I think I got a bit burnt doing yard work. Now it's supposed to freeze tonight and ruin everything. 80 to 30 in 24 hours. No wonder so many people are sick with some other type of crud on top of the CV scare! Just in time to ruin the fruit trees and the mushrooms, too!

Re: There's Always The Weather
Big cumulus clouds blowing quickly across a blue sky brought scattered showers of big, splatty raindrops edging to hail (i.e. it was a dark and stormy day).

Re: There's Always The Weather
Fortunately, we're in a "cooling trend." It hit 90°F here yesterday. A new record high for the date. Average should be about 70°F, or a bit above. Today is "only" supposed to get to 87°, and then gradual cooling toward average by the end of next week. Since rainfall has only been about half of average, all of my neighbors are concerned about fire season starting before the pandemic winds down. At least we can wear dual-purpose masks for both virus and smoke.

I always wanted to skinny dip with masked naked hippie chicks. Yup. Right up there on the bucket list. Can I come visit?

It was a very nice day to sit out and count the squirrels, chipmunks, birds, and other critters

I sat outside for a while, very nice out -- mid 70s I wasn't counting squirrels. I was watching the neighbors two little football dogs fighting. (You know, the yippee yappee ones that are mostly a ball of fur, and you are tempted to kick them across the yard -- but don't.). I looked in the garage/shop this AM, and decided that I would contemplate the mess. Weather has been good for sleeping -- doing that an awful lot lately. Sleep 10 hours at night, and by early afternoon I need a 1-2 hour nap. Low T rears its head - I've been running about 130-150 ng/dl -- goes well with the weather.

Re: There's Always The Weather
The rain started late last night and still hasn't stopped. It is chilly and damp and disgusting outside today. Even the yard critters are hiding from the water.
I can tell the grass grew because and I can see where weeds doubled in height in the unkempt part of my yard.
I hope it dries out tonight.
