The questions about embellishments aren't about having his wife there, that is normal. But his story changed from just mentioning a female nurse to having his wife there to having wife and bunch of her friends. I've never heard of any surgeon allowing more than one person to attend. And maybe people who have gone to Arnkoff can comment if he would be up for such a thing -- maybe it is a fetish for him too. I like jere and don't mean to hurt his feelings but his story has changed and his obvious anxiousness to add the details is suspect -- and I feel that this thread is about real not fantasy experiences.

It's only been a week, does anyone know how long it usually takes for a reply? I read one post that said he has to be contacted by phone... makes me wonder why he'd bother with a web-form if only phone contact works. any info would be greatly appreciated. I'll probably be calling the Dr next week if I haven't heard anything from him by then. I'm hoping to get scheduled sometime this month if his schedule can accommodate that.

Not sure why the good Doctor has the website e-mail contact information either, other than it's possibly part of his "qualification" technique? He does not require a letter from another MD or shrink but he does (IMHO) conduct some probing conversations and I think that as well as taking some time to setup a schedule for the procedure is how he separates the folks who are really wanting the procedure vs. those for whom it is just a fantasy.

When I sent him the original e-mail, I waited quite some time before I sent another e-mail which was answered by his assistant I believe. She asked a couple more questions which I answered and then said she'd have him call me. He didn't so I contacted her again and was told that I should try calling or she'd ask him again to call me. I opted for the latter and he finally called me several months after my original e-mail. He does not communicate via e-mail as far as my experience goes. He's got a smart phone and usually sends text messages but will occasionally call.

If you don't hear back in a week or so, I'd call him as the phone number and hours to call are on the website...

As for Jere's "embellishments"; I've kind of wondered what is going on there as the story he told a few days ago is really quite different that his original descriptions in which, IIRC, he talked about having a vessle which did not quite get sealed off and caused him some problems with blood collecting in his scrotum. His earlier descriptions are in this thread I think but I'm really inclined to agree with SplitDik on this one.

Thank for all the input...

I did call Dr Arnkoff.....talked to him directly...very easy to talk to...I was feeling very comfortable after our talk. The surgery is scheduled for Saturday 11/1/13. I'll drive up on Friday and stay the night, surgery on Sat, then my Wife will drive me back home on Sunday. I've arranged to have the following week off...the Dr said I might want to consider 2 wks. I heal fast...lol .. and will play it by ear. I'll keep blogging the events as they unfold. I assume this thread is a good place for that.

I asked him about my Wife being present and videoing the procedure. He hesitated...then said I could set up a video cam/phone but he doesnt' usually allow another in the room during the procedure. I understand his hesitation. She's a very persuasive person, it will be interesting to watch her negotiate that with him. ;) I also asked if W/we could keep the testicles and he said yes. She is scouring local antique shops for a very special "vessel".

Back to work.... (I have to pay for this honor now)

john

After wanting/needing this for SOOO many years...its a strange feeling to now be only weeks away getting the fulfillment

I need. At this point castration is more emotional than physical in that my testicles have not been producing "T" for quite a while due to the Estrogen/Spiro HRT was on for a long time. my body has already adjusted to castrate levels of "T". I'm past that. My need to be rid of them has been so great that I tried burdizzo (with lidocane injections)... my testicles swelled then went back to normal size...the only permanent effect was nerve damage to the cords so that I never feel like I've been kicked in the nuts (even if I am). The did not atrophy as I expected. So I've been thru the gauntlet, so to speak. Chemical castration, burdizzo, and now, finally, orchiechtomy (surgical removal). MtoE transformation has been a long road...but it's almost complete. In my daily life I live as a eunuch and submissive to my beautiful Dominate Wife. Completion of this step is very important to U/us as a couple and to me as an individual.

I also called Dr. A about two weeks ago and scheduled my surgery for January 4. I agree he is easy to speak with by phone. I asked him how long I should wait before flying home and he said "a day or two is enough... but you'll be sore and swollen for weeks." I too have wanted this for as long as I can remember - since childhood really. It's been a long road. I wish I could do it sooner, but January is the earliest my schedule would allow me to arrange the trip.

He told me the same thing and if I had it to do over again, I'd wait until the second day after the procedure before leaving. The biggest reason is that the ice packs only work for the first 24 to 48 hours. The second is that while he suggests you get a bit of walking done for some exercise, sitting in airports and airplanes for an extended period of time is no picnic. I had to check out of the hotel four hours before my flight left, waited around for another several hours in the next airport where I had to change planes as the next plane was late, then there was no crew available to fly the thing and it wound up being a 12 hour ordeal between checkout and getting home for me. I was really reluctant to take any pain pills and fly so that made it worse.

Just a thought if you can swing the extra day you might want to consider doing so.....

Hello,

I've been writing blogs...if you look there you can see the recent posts. It's done, and going as well as can be expected for one hell of a procedure.

It was about 2 months before I heard back from Dr. Arnkoff after contacting him through his website. I just returned from my 'visit' to Dr. Arnkoff. He is extremely busy with his practice. He currently charges $2,500 but is increasing his fee to $3,000 after the first of the year. He preferred texts after the initial phone call so you might try texting him as he is in surgery quite a bit of the time. Hope this helps.
