Macwolf,
We never get trick or treaters in this area. There were two houses out here that used to be go-to spots for kids, but there aren't any kids in the neighborhood anymore, and those two people have since died.

Same, Same
Nothing Weatherful.
Sometimes a tad warmer
Sometimes a tad cooler
But, mostly just the same.

We're headed down to 19F tonight, coldest night so far this season. I had a few hanging baskets with flowers that I'd brought in, and was keeping going, but I guess it's time to let them go.

Now, at 11pm it is at freezing 32F and there is light snow at route 80 (50 miles north of Pittsburgh) ...It's going to get colder tonight.
Winter has arrived.

record "Low, daytime Highs". And they sound cold.

Yeah, I am here in the freezing cold heartland. Mid 20s now, colder tonight. Next week is supposed to be a frozen wonderland. Good thing I am no longer (for now) working out in it. On the other hand "retirement" is boring.

I know the feeling. Cold, and chance of snow next week. I'm sort of on "paid retirement" for the season. I get paid to sit and be a bored secretary, pending installation of a worthless machine that I think is totaled out by the shippers. Oh, well. Utilities at the office are covered in rent, so I will have the heat set on 80F all week!

I :hearthrob "retirement"
After 3 months of decompression, you get to a state of
worrying how you will get 2 things done in one day.
I :hearthrob office politics are no longer part of my life.
Did the FREEZE hit yet?
The temperature is same, same here but I suspect air quality is suffering.
Using asthma meds more.
BTW the "Barham Fire" is near where I grew up in the Hollywood Hills
before we moved to Newport Beach. That fire is near Griffith Park and that
would really be a major fire.
