🐈 Izzy, the little one,

suddenly stopped acting "old" this morning.

Bouncy. Wide eyed. Demanding kitty-love.

:)

Solly is big and growing bigger.

Also the most cowardly. Little brother Izzy always held sway, even as kittens.

When Old Fat Black Kitty was introduced, Izzy will yield and rarely challenge ever so briefly.

But, OFBK use to swing at Solly if he ever got within swinging range, like "can I share some of that food".

They all have different feeding stations but, roam for pickings.

Well today, wonder of wonder, OFBK shared her food with Solly. She sat a bit back and watched him, I did not see when she shared but, it was before she was satiated.

Was this an accepting gesture by OFBK or is she feeling old and losing status?

Dear moi.

On a good day, how many cats do you feed? WE usually feed TWO outdoor cats and we have 2 indoor cats that we also feed...

...inquiring minds would like to know. YOU are to be commended for your care and compassion for these animals!

The best cat I was ever owned by was Rocket. I adopted him in early December 1977. I was told he was four months old. I had to put him to sleep on April 20, 1997 because he could no longer eat and he was suffering too much.

He was a wonderful cat. He always came to me when I called him until he was 14 years old. He stopped at age 14 because he could no longer hear me. I still miss him.

I enjoy talking to Cainanite's cat on Skype. Sometimes I even get to talk to him.

This morning my cat Rupert jumped down from his cat tree and hurt himself, he landed wrong and walked away limping, at 91/2 he is starting to show his age, I put small end table next to his tree to lessen the amount of distance he needs to jump to get up to his food and back to the floor.

I will be watching him.
