ideally the scene should involve an equal amount of pain and a dominating feeling. i don't like to use the term "fear" here, as to me it seems to be somewhat contraproductive.

in my mind, a scene should be good for all parties involved. real fear is a inhibitor for that.

i get my fun out of that. that's what being a domme is really all about: fun and power.

I would think that's the substantial counterpart of what you call "dominant feeling" and I feel it's "real" fear just like it's "real" power and "real" pain and "real" sex.

Again starting from my own feelings, if we're talking "balance", I think what you mean could be balance between real fear and real trust.
