A trick from my GP: I take two paracetamol an hour before my Reandron injection. She said that anaesthetists use four for patients not already on paracetamol to get up to baseline, but two work well for me and really take the edge off. I use the slow release Panadol Osteo, or the generic Osteo-Tab also available here in NZ. A couple of times I have needed another couple taken eight hours after the first (slow release dose interval, not the six hours for ordinary paracetamol).
I know another (non-eunuch) T user in Australia and he complains about how messy the gels are to use. I think we are better off in NZ with Reandron. Although it is *literally* a pain in the arse, the infrequent injections are convenient.
I have been on 12 weekly injections for two years, but I am not yet a eunuch. Long story: wannabe lurker waits for over 15 years, *drumroll* gets stage I testicular cancer, after a year gets stage IIIB recurrence (embryonal carcinoma is a bitch), four cycles of BEP chemo (12 weeks) and half a lung, subclinical hypogonadism, and got put on Reandron by my oncologist. Last year I came out to my healthcare providers and am now seeking surgery (have urologist, just seeking psych clearance). Not the way I thought I would get here, but it is as it is.
