It has been revealing to learn what is an inherent drive and what is T dependent. Living with low T is definitely what I want, mostly because I came to hate having libido.

I'm with you. I've been on Spiro now for two months and am happy with the reduced lbido and not thinking about sex nearly as much. If things continue to go well, I'm planning on having an orchiectomy sometime down the road.

Hi gay2girl, you're right, no point in crying over spilt milk. I'm sorry that I had to be cut and I miss my balls but after 10 months it's time to move on.

How many of you castrated guys feel the same.

I'll chime in for those of us on the other end of the spectrum. Had mine taken because of pain issues since having the mumps years ago. I would love to have my pre-mumps balls back. I would cherish them for a lifetime.

Hi Wantmaletoeu. I had already read that post. Thank you! Very interesting. After my prostate biopsy came back all clear, i emailed my urologist asking why i couldn't elect to have an orchiectomy or prostatectomy now. She was quite shocked, and felt we needed to meet so she could explain why close monitoring was the best way forward. All very frustrating and to be honest very confusing. Medical position and opinion seem very different to those on here.

Although this may sound a bit narcissistic but not one morning goes by when I don't jump out of bed and look at empty sack in the wardrobe mirror.

I just love it.

I am now in control of my libido for the first time in my life simply by adjusting the amount and what I take in the way of hormone therapy.

Very liberating.

I'm at thee years now post castration, nearly a year since the scrotum was removed. I haven't taken testosterone for over a year. I am very happy at this point and still have a reasonable and fulfilling love life. I say love life as the penis is not always a partner, so "sex life" might be a misnomer. Anyway, though I never dreamed I would become a Eunuch I will say that if I could get my balls back tomorrow I would decline. I like who I am and what I am.

I suspect that of the thousands upon thousands of involuntary eunuch on this planet the general satisfaction lies in the quality of life with no further deterioration of health afterwards.

For the small (but growing) community of voluntary eunuchs the outcome is completely different on so many levels. I for one, 25 years later could not have been happier with my decision and the way life has played out since. Sure, as with all things there are choices in the road we follow once on the journey and I made a few wrong turns to realize after traveling those turns and getting back on the main road. Sometimes those wrong turns have unintended effects that simply don't go away. Can we after all return an uncorked bottle of fine wine to it's original state? Of course not. That doesn't mean the flavor is foul. Just that it changes for the better the longer it breathes.

Life since becoming nullo has been far more fulfilling than at any time prior. And it is looking to become so much more fulfilling as I continue down my path.

So YES, I am very happy!
