Re: Drought of Stories and Feedback

Every now and then a few posters, some who are new to the site and some not,, seem to take everything that s more than a few words long as a satire or sarcastic and respond with a snarky remark of some kind. Much like what occured to me, yet again, on another thread just now. And it gets old dealing with other people s emotional problems manifested in their posts. Its a downside in dealing with thousands of different readers I m sure. But it makes people just chuck out bothering to post anything as a bad taste in your mouth.
I m not asking the moderators to do anything. You can t alter human nature or police every small slight that people throw out there. And its not your fault at all. I m just stating the obvious. People post less after seeing how a very small portion of readers passing through here react to posts with a chip on their shoulders. Human nature in any large group, sure. But its one reason that people don t post more.
I think people likely have a lot of thoughts worth posting that others would find interesting to read. They just think, why deal with the unappreciated comments that some in any large group will make.
