Hi guys, I´m 3 months after orchidectomy. I just want to share my experiences. It really hit my expectations :

1st - no nuts and other pain

2nd - almost zero interest in sex

3rd - life under control (no sex driven)

The scar in fully healed now but I experience scrotum itching. It´s uncomfortable but I´m planing to have it removed later this year so no big issue. Still some night sweats, I noticed small strenght reduction and a little bigger belly. No breasts or hips enlargement. I feel well myself, I take daily calcium an D vit. My erection is even weaker than month ago, I suppose this trend will continue. I can have a normal sex but it is still more and more dificult. Anyway, we always find a way

This is the way it should be in reality, of course with appropriate options information, and the informed consent of the patient. Unfortunately, all to often what is lacking are the medical options and the patient making the treatment option and medical consent.

Its a shame that this kind of surgery is allways considered to be the "Last option" .

I would allways prefer the doc to ask me first "We can try a few things first if you like.. or there's the surgial approach" and let me be the one to say at what point I go under the knife.

Hi guys, I´ve made another (and the last) step. I underwent a scrotum removal. It was performed by a good female surgeon in my town. In my country it is recognised as a cosmetic surgery (I bet everywhere it is), it was fully paid by myself - roughly 1400 USD including surgery, anestetics, one night room, antibiotics. It was done yesterday. I can obviously feel some pain but honestly less than after orchidectomy. The sugreon said she used "plastic stitches" it should be some kind of smooth work which should be almost without visible scar when healing is finished. Thanks again all of you for support, advises and friendly words on my long way, I´m happy now, my dreams came through .

Hi Peter, thanks for that. Yes, I´m OK and happy it happened. As a summary, I went through few changes during that "first eunuch year". The biggest one is an emotional instability, sometimes I´m close to crying, more than ever before. It is more difficult for me to concentrate, I must use more effort on that. I still experience night sweats but less and less. Regarding body changes, I´ve lost some body hair, most on the chest, I have weight gain 4 kilos, I experience body fat redistribution as well, mostly on hips and thighs, my breasts are fuller and slightly bigger. I have absolutely no spontaneous erection. I can penetrate, sex is different : it takes more time to erect and to ejaculate (few drops) as well. An orgasm comes slowly and stays longer so it is a benefit for my wife, the sex takes in total much more time, I guess it´s going closer to women´s orgasm, we feel it like to be more tuned together up. But I must say, when orgasm appears it is not so strong like was before an orchi. Overall, my life is better, free of sex needs, I´m more relaxed, my blood pressure is OK now, before orchi I´ve had a high blood pressure. Now I don´t need to take pills at all I don´t take HRT as T makes me sick (headache, fast heartbeat, stomachache, vertigo...).

I started to be more active as I have no pain, which is great. In December I paid a surgeon in cosmetic clinic to remove my empty scrotum, she was proffesional and made it very well, without post op complications, no bleeding or inflamation. So all set now, I enjoy new life fully

Hi, today it´s my 2nd birthday, let´s give you brief summary what happened during these two years. First months after castration I struggled with the healing. I experienced bleeding, which was uncomfortable. When I let remove my empty scrotum, the surgeon was much precise, no bleeding, no discomfort. Than I experienced hot flashes, night sweats, which were weaker during 1st year than. After 6 months I lost completely interest for sex, most changes happened in my brain. In the past I was dreaming about sex several times a day and night, now I can´t, I can´t keep thinking about any kind of sex, even I try to do it. I have dry orgasm, if ever. After few months almost disappeared but after year and half I can experienced orgasm again, the erection is weaker but I can reach both on demand. Overall I can say changes come in waves, only hot flashes and sweating stay. Worst thing is weight gain. I´ve added 5 kilos, I don´t have man´s belly but rather women´s “tyre”. My breasts enlarged of 0,5 size and nipples are sensitive all the time. During this Winter I lost lot of body hair, in some parts I have no hair. mostly on arms and hips. I noticed just small penis shrinkage, it´s more often soft. I have absolutely no regrets, I´m happy with my current status. Thanks once more EA
