Re: Brainstorming Group
I've turned out some stuff in the past that made ... damn, can't remember the name of it. Something about "Terry" on here look like a rated G birthday party. Now I'll have to go and look it up.

If content is given a disclaimed at the top of the piece then people should be able to judge for themselves if the story is for them. I mean the same tags are used to search for stories by topic already, so its not a huge stretch of the imagination to use them for more darker pieces of writing.

Exactly, Kynetic. I meant absolutely no offense to anyone by my post the other day about trashing "extreme" stories. I just got to thinking about the therapeutic value of writing or reading stories for our target audience. Previous story editors have trashed stories simply because they contain themes such as "snuff," as an extreme example. While I, personally, do not understand the intrigue of such stories, there are likely others that are turned on by that story topic. I feel it a disservice myself to deny them their "escape from reality" because others may not agree with their interests. I stress strongly one of the very valid points of this site as a whole - exercising ones demons and fantasies in a safe and nonjudgmental place. I'd rather see FICTIONAL accounts of extreme topics here than see actual incidents reported in the news. Much like the stories involving minors. I'd rather the stories and fantasies be here than in real life where the effects harm an actual person. Having been forcibly raped before I turned 16 (the age of consent in my state), I know how horrible the reality can be. Fictional stories hurt no one, and if even one person in saved from being abused because their abuser kept their thoughts where they belong (in their head), then this site becomes not only an excellent source of support for those seeking MtE, MtF, etc., but it becomes a valuable service to protecting real people from the traumatic, potentially life changing - possibly life ending, realities that sometimes take place in the world.

Re: Brainstorming Group
I think this place should be a platform for the open and free exchange of fictional stories as well as discussions on such. I mean it's fiction after all, it's not real. Just as one could write a bdsm or horror story and have people either like it of loathe it, the point remains they are allowed to write it and not be chased with pitch forks because of it. Hollywood makes it's money through movies saturated with violence and killing, porn makes it's bread and butter by filming people having sex... not everyone likes either one, but it's not set on fire over it.
This place should be the same. With clearly labeled story content, there should be no issues.
Write what you want is what I say.

Re: Brainstorming Group
The one problem with that idea is that I have to read it first, and then decide what (if any) other tags to add to it.
There are already stories on the Archive that made me vomit when reading them the first time. Hence the origin of the warning tag.
I'll just put it this way - if you're going to turn in such a story, you better TELL ME in the email BEFORE I open that file!
I mean, it's just common courtesy, you see...
I still WILL NOT accept stories involving babies, however. If they're passing, such as: "She had a baby," or "There was a cute baby in the stroller." That's fine.
It would be acceptable to state that "our hero" or such was "born without genitals" or bred that way, such as a sci-fi story.
If you want to really get gory and "out there," please, at least warn me first. Thank you.

That's would be a given Paolo. I mean common courtesy is always nice to receive. I completely agree with you on the last point. Something like that would make me vomit too and would no doubt give the Archive a bad name. Personally I don't really like the idea of characters under the age of 18 in erotic stories myself.
