I must admit I have stalled with this one.

I loved season 1 and watched about 3 or 4 episodes of season 2 and thats it.

I will to get back to it however I am getting into "Banshee" at the moment.

I read that creator Sam Esmail's work on Season 2 was ... let's say "compromised" ... when USA Network requested two additional episodes at some point during production (probably preproduction). I'm guessing that messed up his plan for the season and accounts for many viewers' complaints that S2 seemed very "slow moving."

I've watched the show steadily, regardless of the pace. After the S2 finale, I guess you could say I was "unmoved." I don't trust anything about Elliot anymore ... and when your main character has lost all credibility, where does that leave your show? In limbo, I guess. We fans just have to "see what happens next," if we're still interested. I am. I'll tune in next summer, but I'm not nearly as enthusiastic about "Mr. Robot" as I was last year at this time.

I'm not sympathetic to that as an excuse for the slowness of the season.

I'll explain...

Years ago on BABYLON FIVE, J.M. Strackynski had to do a 24 episodes season. There were several "non-arc" episodes interspersed by the network because of holidays and sports events. So JMS farmed out those episodes to other writers.

One of those episodes went to Neil Gaiman and he wrote "The Day of the Dead" to which JMS added a single line pertinent to the story arc and filmed it. I think it stands as one of the better episodes.

Networks have desires and writers have to satisfy them, sometimes.
