Remember "The Birdcage"? Robin Williams did a routine on the John Wayne walk. I read an old interview with Wayne, and he was very conscious of everything about his demeanor that might register with audiences. I remember him saying that talking "low and slow" was part of being a strong leading man. I'd guess that his movie walk was just as calculated as his speech.

I never got Steven Segal. He was fat, a bad actor, and wore a corset that was visible under his shirts. He was never credible to me as a tough guy, even though I read he began as a martial arts instructor.

If you get the chance watch how Steven Segal and David Caruso (http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9 ... tdFiAvxRGH EUsKIOtq6XqbOHIP6scOwc) (Horatio Caine) of CSI Miami walk with their guns drawn.

Steven Segal can get away with walking like David Caruso, one may even expect it, but if David Caruso EVER walked like Steven Segal his series would ave been canceled before the first season was completed...

With Segal's walk and a first name of Horatio he would not have been safe driving himself home...

I am out at my jobs where if someone asks I will tell them. During my sexual addiction years many men learned of my talents. Sorry but discretion has left the building. On National Coming Out Day I can only retell people I am gay. My good friends act surprised and then we have a chuckle.

Very nice Tugon..Would you say, retrospectively, that your forced coming out was a blessing in disguise?.. It sounds as though you've been nicely accepted into your relatively small community.

Everyone knowing I was gay meant I did not have to come out. It certainly did not mean I was treated kindly. The crank phone calls with death threats happened. Walking down the street with people in cars shouting obscenities. A younger brother who several years ago announced at my birthday how many fights he had to fight because he had a gay brother. Hell no it was not a blessing.

Sorry about that past post. Today, I got a phone call from a manager in a local clinic, somewhat away from where I live, but, well. She told me that I need capacitation for the area where I´ll work, but otherwise, it´sokay. Also, I signed a contract in order to become a teacher next january, so things are getting somewhat smooth again.-

Thanks for the advice, Riverwind. I already forgave them. Also, I simply don´t think about that much anymore. I had to move on.I got myself fed up with self-pity and simply tried to move on, trying to forget all the things (good and bad) that I had to pass. My mind is clear, my soul is at peace, my goal is at sight nd everything else it´s okay. Thanks, pal, for your advice.

I am glad you have found peace. You need that to move on. It is good to forgive but I do not forget. I have always felt that when I forget I am left vulnerable so I remember to stay prepared.
