Well, I'd just point out I have the character sets (or did you mean html character entities?) under control. Sounds like I might understand it better than most. I'm also teachable. I don't mind constructive criticism, and I'm generally a good editor (for English language text). But if you folks want to have all the fun yourself ...

Some of the stories on the old site -- particularly the ones in other languages or with special characters -- would have benefited from being utf-8; I'm glad to see the new site uses that. My software (and I) can replace "pretty" quote characters with ugly ones, if that's what's needed, or vice versa. I've got my British and American English dictionaries ready, depending on the author. Just give me the word -- or give me a couple of stories as a test and if I don't meet your standards, I won't offer again.

My favorite stories are "I Have a Friend" and "The Blog". Of course, I may be a bit biased, as my hubby and I wrote them

Probably I'm putting this in the wrong place, but I want to say thanks to the authors. Some of thise stories are very good indeed. The Island with Nan Ping (I think that was the name.) It was not just a euncuh story but an adventure story. Others are not so great, but they're all better than anyone I know could do. So thanks, all of you.

Walkies I don't remember who wrote it but i would be so grateful if you could fit this one into your busy schedule.

I am still working my way through the requests.

As of right now there are 578 stories waiting to be transferred to the new archive. Many of the requests on this thread that have not yet been fulfilled, will be coming VERY soon.

My goal it to help restore the stories that mean the most. I get sidetracked sometimes by big collections. Sometimes the single stories have to wait a bit.

I'm not the only one editing, and I can't speak for everyone, but servicing the community should be priority one.

Please keep the requests coming. I'll do my best!
