Well, a comfort food around here is biscuits and gravy...chocolate gravy. Of course, you can have the old standby...biscuits and sausage gravy.

Comfort food is nice.
How different then taking Comfort from some food fact like it is "good for you".
Well in my search of ORAC Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity
I noticed both Dark Chocolate and Walnuts or Pecans, being highest among the nuts, rated well.
So i bought some Dark Chocolate covered Walnuts. <yummy>
So comforting in several ways.
Moi
Beef is three of the four major food groups.
Chocolate is the other.
Everything else is miscellaneous.

Moi knows, Moi asks the questions, Moi wants to know everything, but what Moi does not know is that there has been a change, he always keeps up with the latest stuff, but MOI, there are 5 major food groups, not 4.
Grains or Starch group
Fruit and vegetables
Milk and dairy foods
Meat, fish, poultry and pulses
NEW GROUP
fats and sugars
Because Moi wants to know

Fats and Sugar
How ridiculous.
Fats have vital nutrients such as the oil soluble vitamins and essential fatty acids.
Even brown sugar is just, brown sugar.
It is unfortunate the food industry = nutritional advice is so volatile as to confuse even River.
Best advice, except for "treats", stay with the 10,000 BC diet for sustenance. Aka Paleolithic Diet or Atkins.
Moi
Remember when the bottom of the pyramid was all those processed carbs. Food industry profits!

Oh, you mistaken Moi, good River
Certainly and history shows -
Someone or agency will always pervert nutritional recommendations. Proof, the fifth group or studies showing the benefits of low cholesterol diets (pass the brown pasta).
But corn flakes are good for you.
<don't get me started on glycemic index and carbs>
Poalo can draw you a picture and keep Moi safe from flaming.
Greasy Eggs and Bacon for Moi, please.
Moi
Eating my dark chocolate covered walnuts and feeling good. Must be the free radical preventive qualities.
