You are both true!

The theories from Einstein and Newton are only THEORIES. In some parts of the university, they are not apply!

...

There are no valid theories that are true in Orange County but not in San Bernardino; it doesn't work that way. A scientific theory is an explanation of universal application; it either applies everywhere or (like a Fox News broadcast) it is a delusion and will be refuted by scientific enquiry.

Although the Egyptians didn't have any steel (or much metal at all as a matter of fact; there is a letter from the Pharoah begging the Hittites for iron and the Egyptian word for gold nwb is simply Nubia, that is the source of gold for them), they did know about and manufacture glass. The Egyptians were the premier glass-makers of antiquity and even exported broken glass for recycling. They specialized in a multi-colored type of glass called faience used to make beads. Egypt was a civilization based on junk jewelry, and Tut's mask has inlays of lapis, turquoise, and glass.

No, but in a way he is right. There may be many parts of a university where Einstein et al have no application.

For example, may I suggest: philosophy, English lit, medicine, sociology, anthropology, art & art history, economics, psychology, business management, and so on.

And personally? You'll find me in the camp with those who absolutely believe that people back in the heyday of the Egyptian Pharaohs were completely capable of building pyramids without alien assistance. And we definitely could duplicate the feat today, without resorting to high-tech tools. I'm also in the camp against the possibility of Planet X, at least not a Planet X whose orbit has the potential to intersect our own.

That's not to say the skies are safe, however. There's a metric fucktonne of rock out there, and a scary chunk of it remains unknown/unmapped. To make things worse, there's nowhere near enough observatories, money, or manpower being dedicated to watching the sky for Near (http://www.disinfo.com/2010/07/very-ear ... t-in-2182/) Earth (http://www.disinfo.com/2009/11/asteroid ... s-warning/) Objects (http://szyzyg.arm.ac.uk/~spm/neo_map.html). So 'Planet X'? No. Though there still could be a chunk of rock the size of Manhattan out there, whose orbit intersects our own.
